Fans of The Real Housewives franchise have come to expect drama from the show. This is the case with pretty much all reality television. They even expect some drama will take place off camera as well. After all, this is partly what helps keep the show and its stars talked about.
However, nobody could’ve predicted how things would unfold when Jennifer Aydin walked into a Jersey Mike’s restaurant as she waited for her flight at an airport. Following a tense exchange with several employees and customers, Jennifer posted the clips and a subsequent rant to social media.
The public wasn’t on her side, however, and she was removed from a planned cruise ship gig with two of her castmates. Another castmate seemed to indirectly call Jennifer out and Jennifer herself apologized for her behavior.
Jennifer Starts An Online Feud With Employees At Jersey Mike’s
Jennifer Aydin of The Real Housewives of New Jersey rang in the new year by clashing with multiple employees at Jersey Mike’s. First, Jennifer ranted about her experience at a Jersey Mike’s location in an airport. She uploaded the rant to her Instagram Story. During the video, Jennifer can be heard saying she was “so mad” and that she was waiting for “what felt like forever” to get her order. The clip has now gone viral and has been reposted on social media.
“They took our order and then they took the lady’s order that was after me but they fulfilled her order first somehow, made us wait,”
Jennifer said as she called out “the 80-year-old” working at the restaurant
. “Everything was slow. We’re not complaining. We get it, it’s early in the morning. You’re in a bad mood, it’s New Year’s, you’re working — I’d be pissed too.”
Jennifer claimed they were making her sandwich while she decided to add another item to her order. Allegedly, an employee told Jennifer “to wait on the line again.” Jennifer said she asked the “hater” who was waiting behind her in line if it was okay for her to add another sandwich. This person didn’t seem to like that idea. Jennifer called the man a “loser” and said “find me a******” in the clip.
“I started recording them,” Jennifer said. She then uploaded the clips she recorded from the establishment. Jennifer, along with husband Bill Aydin, said in the footage that the employees were “not smiling” as they served customers. Following Jennifer’s post, one of the employees from the video uploaded their own post on TikTok. “I really hope this stupid b**** has TikTok,” the employee said. “I really hope I come up on your For You Page b****, I really hope you recognize me.”
This employee had a different story than Jennifer, however. The employee claims it was Jennifer’s indecisiveness that was causing problems. According to the employee, Jennifer “doesn’t know what she wants” while ordering “four different sandwiches” and “changing the bread last minute.”
As the employee and her co-workers were trying to make the necessary adjustments to Jennifer’s order, she was allegedly “backing up the entire line.” This is apparently why Jersey Mike’s employees told Jennifer that she needed to get back in line if she wanted to add more to her order.
“She starts tweaking,” the employee alleged. She then accused Jennifer of saying, “I’m a celebrity” and threatened to sue. “She starts recording all of us and she posts it… Learn how to order.”

However, the employee didn’t just stop at the video. She added more context to her post in the comment section.
“Mind you when she said my coworker was rude because she said only cold subs, we had TWO call outs. We were already doing the work of 2 ppl with the pay of one, at an airport with a constant rush,” the employee wrote. “I wanna do a story time with my coworkers, we’re saving and recording all the videos she’s posted of us to share our experience with her and break down the out of context video she posted.”
Jennifer’s Castmate Danielle Seemed To React To Her Jersey Mike’s Drama
Danielle Cabral seemed to indirectly address Jennifer’s drama with the employees at Jersey Mike’s. She made her own comments in a video uploaded to her Instagram.
“I’m usually pretty good at holding my tongue, keeping my mouth shut… not saying anything, take s*** from every which way and I feel like I don’t wanna today,”
Danielle said
. “So in light of all the s*** that’s been going down, I feel compelled to say if you guys only knew what it was like to be involved with this person while she’s berating me on how I treat people.”
Danielle joined The Real Housewives of New Jersey during Season 13. Since then, she has developed quite a few issues with Jennifer. The most infamous feud occurred during Season 14, when there was a physical altercation between the two which resulted in both women being suspended briefly from filming.
During her own rant, Danielle made it clear that when someone shows her their true colors, she doesn’t think twice before cutting them out for good. “It broke my heart to know who people truly are and to see their true colors. Once I find that out done, bye, see you later,” she said. “And I guess it drove people insane that I’m so easily able to cut [people] out that they just spiraled and wanted to talk s***, and spew s***, and hatred and lies.”
Although Danielle didn’t mention Jennifer directly, many believed she was referring to her famous nemesis. This was especially believable in light of Jennifer’s Jersey Mike’s drama. Danielle insisted that she has only tried to use her platform for “good” since joining the show. However, Danielle feels that since “idiots” have “spread lies” about her, trolls have been flooding her comments section all the time. According to Danielle, these haters are spreading hate based on “false narratives” created by other people.
“Imagine being a person who only looked out for people. I wanted everyone to succeed, even that a******, even this schmuck with what she did the other day,” she said. “A leopard never changes its spots. At the end of the day, the truth always comes out and [the] true colors of certain individuals always comes out. I will stand my ground until the day that I die, I will take the bullets from the nonsense these idiots spewed.”

Danielle also said that when she meets fans of the series out in public, they’re surprised at how nice she is. She said that she thinks her fellow castmates need to rethink how they act, especially when they’re out in public. “Let this be a testament of don’t always believe what you see on TV. I can’t [say I feel] vindicated by this since real people were hurt,” Danielle said. “To see the people in this video, this woman who was working at 7 o’clock … I’m sure you all felt the same way but damn man we gotta do better.”
Jennifer Said Her Husband Didn’t Want Her To Post The Jersey Mike’s Video
Following her drama with Jersey Mike’s, Jennifer spoke in an interview with Page Six. During her chat, she revealed her husband, Bill, wasn’t happy with how things went down. In fact, he warned her not to post the video.
“Bill’s not happy about it,” Jennifer said, revealing that her husband “told [her] not to post the video.” Jennifer described Bill as “the least confrontational person.” While he witnessed part of the incident, he wasn’t convinced the moment warranted an entire rant to be posted on Instagram.
“When I got back to our group, everybody was so disgusted with the behavior [of the Jersey Mike’s employees and customers]. Everyone was all amped up,” she remembered. “I was like, ‘They were so rude! That’s not nice to be rude. You shouldn’t be rude to a customer. You don’t know who I am… But you should just not be rude in general.’ So then I’m like, ‘I’m just gonna post it so that everyone can see their bad behavior.’”
However, Jennifer did admit that the moment “backfired” once she uploaded the entire thing to her millions of followers. She then gave her fans some advice, “Listen to the husband, ladies! Husbands know best.” When discussing the “debacle,” Jennifer provided more context to the situation. For starters, she explained that she was trying to make sure all of her children were fed, and they had enough time to eat before catching their flight to Aruba.
When Jennifer began fighting with the man who was standing behind her in line, she said that a “fan” interjected, “She’s a celebrity, for Christ’s sake!” during the argument. “So when she said it, in my angst and my fury, I repeated it, too, because he was so rude to me when I was just an innocent bystander,” Jennifer said, adding, “It shouldn’t matter who I am. You shouldn’t be rude to people.”
When addressing her comments about the “80-year-old,” Jennifer told the outlet, “I should never have called the woman old or whatever. I was just sad that she was working. I really was. And she was so rude afterwards. She was like, ‘I’m not gonna give you your sandwich!’ I was just like, ‘OK. OK, woman. OK, lady. I’m sorry. I just wanted my one sandwich.’”
Jennifer said that she “can’t believe how it’s gotten out of hand like this,” when talking about the criticism her post received. She also said the video has been “sensationalized.” “But I’m very cognizant of it now,” Jennifer maintained. “I have to be reminded that being — not a celebrity, but a public figure — I have to make sure that I’m very cautious with what I post. It’s going to be a huge lesson for me. I’m going to post very, very minimal and especially not a complaint — ever.”
She continued, “And I’m sorry to the Jersey Mike’s people that I put them on blast after, but it really was just in response to them being so rude and dismissive to me.”
This controversy didn’t come without consequences. Jennifer was removed from a September Fans at Sea cruise with castmates Teresa Giudice and Dolores Catania for the “Wives on the Waves” getaway. According to a rep for Fans at Sea, the company “made adjustments” so they could “keep the cruise enjoyable and welcoming for all guests.” They also said their “priority is to create a drama-free, fun-filled experience for everyone.”
According to Jennifer, she understands their decision. “At the end of the day, I could not expect them to take backlash on something that I did,” she told the outlet. “If it’s one thing I am, it’s a very rational, reasonable person, OK? I get it. I did this.”
