Southern Charm Season 10 is set to premiere in December and the brand-new trailer sees the Charleston crew welcoming three new charmers to their exclusive friend group. One of these new cast members is Salley Carson, who appears to be bringing a lot of drama.
The Season 10 trailer introduces Salley as someone with a unique connection to the group. Speaking to Madison LeCroy and Craig Conover’s girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, Salley reveals that she knows both Taylor Ann Green’s boyfriend and ex, Shep Rose, very, very well. It’s safe to say that Charleston is just way too small.
But, besides this weird connection, Salley is also a reality TV pro. Before she makes her Southern Charm debut, fans might remember her from other popular reality shows.

Salley Carson Is Stirring Up Drama In Season 10 Of Southern Charm
Season 10 of Southern Charm is premiering on December 5 and is bringing back familiar faces like Shep Rose, Craig Conover, Madison LeCroy, Austen Kroll, Venita Aspen, Taylor Ann Green, Rodrigo Reyes, and Leva Bonaparte. The season will also see Season 9’s Jarrett “JT” Thomas back with the gang, but apparently only for a short time after he announced he had quit the show.Sadly, fans won’t see Olivia Flowers or Rod Razavi, after they both got fired.
However, there are three new castmates set to make a splash among this group. There’s Patricia Altschul’s best bud, Ryan Albert, America’s Next Top Model alum Molly O’Connell, and South Carolina born-and-raised reality star Salley Carson.
According to her Bravo bio, Salley works in spinal robotics.
According to Bravo, both Molly and Salley will “join the group as they juggle the Charleston dating scene and maintain old friendships.” However, it appears that Salley already has a strong connection with the men in this group, according to the Season 10 trailer.
Salley is introduced in the trailer, sitting with Paige and Madison at a party as she spills some details about her love life.
“Taylor’s new boyfriend—he’s my ex. And, like, I slept with Shep.”
Taylor and Shep dated for two years before breaking up in 2022. Taylor then confirmed in October 2023, that she was dating a man named Gaston Rojas. They went Instagram official on New Years.
Later in the trailer, viewers see Salley and Taylor get into a heated confrontation about Shep, in which Taylor is heard stating, “I dated Shep for two and a half years, y’all just f*****.” The group is also seen vacationing in the Bahamas and a group dinner turns into disaster, with Salley stating, “I swear to God I’m going to hit him.” Can fans guess who she’s referencing? Shep, JT, possibly?

Salley Carson Allegedly Called Off Her Engagement To Appear On The Bachelor
After doing some digging about Salley Carson’s past, fans have learned that Southern Charm is not the first time she was on a reality TV show. Salley’s reality TV career began when she was a contestant on Season 26 of The Bachelor. Clayton Echard was the lead and Salley was vying for his heart. However, Salley never made it out of the limo to greet Clayton.
According to Reality Steve, Salley was engaged prior to joining Season 26, so it looked like Salley had ulterior motives, which is nothing new. In fact, the outlet revealed that Salley had her bachelorette party just a month prior to joining the show.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Clayton stated that Salley told him prior to the limo entrances that that same day was the day she was supposed to get married. She had initially called off her engagement because of a “lack of trust,” but going through with The Bachelor saw her having a change of heart. Still, after speaking to Clayton privately about wanting to leave the show, he offered her a rose, but she declined.
“I think she followed her heart and did what she thought was best. …I think in that moment, she felt that was the right way to go about it. To say, ‘Hey, listen, I’m not fully invested or mentally, I’m not here 100 percent, so I have to walk away.’ I respected her decision.”
Salley Self-Eliminated Herself From Bachelor In Paradise After Facing Backlash From The Other Contestants On Day 1
Salley did get a chance to return to Bachelor Nation when she made an appearance on Season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise. However, her appearance would again bring tremendous controversy.
According to Life & Style, bartender Wells Adams explained to the Season 8 contestants that Salley had doubts about joining the show after her bags arrived before she did and reportedly made a producer wait in the trunk of her car for 4 hours while she spoke to her ex! However, it left a lot of questions that needed answers: Why did she need approval from her ex-fiance to join the show? Was he her ex or were they still together? It outraged the women on BiP who believed she wasn’t there for the right reasons.
Salley made her way to Mexico, but was confronted by BiP contestants about her rollercoaster relationship with her fiancé and why she decided to go on the show looking for love. Salley then made the decision to leave. “I’m too real for this s***,” she says.

Salley Moved To Charleston And Appeared In Southern Hospitality
According to her Instagram, Salley moved back to Charleston in 2022. As her bio states on Bravo, the reality star is originally from Greenville, South Carolina. When she returned, she made an appearance on the spinoff Southern Hospitality as Joe Bradley’s love interest.
In Season 2, Joe shows interest in Salley, who worked at Leva’s club, Republic Garden & Lounge, as a VIP host in-training. The two hit it off, but she made the mistake of kissing co-worker TJ Dinch’s roommate Gaston (Southern Charm’s Taylor’s current boyfriend!) right before going on a date with Joe, who made her a lovely chicken Parmesan dish from scratch. At first, Salley lied and said she did not kiss Gaston, but she later owned up to it.
Joe could not understand how Salley could go from making out with one guy and then immediately going on a date with him. It ultimately didn’t work out for the two.
Speaking about that moment with Us Weekly, Joe shared, “Here we are again. As soon as I think I have this awesome girl, and you know, Salley Carson, she was like, she was from the south, and she was talking about her family, I’m like, ‘Oh, I found a good one with this one.’ And then she makes out one of my, I consider Gaston a close friend.'”
He then added, “I cooked her chicken parm!”
Well, it certainly looks like Salley will be a great addition to the Southern Charm crew after learning about her drama-filled past.
