There are many people in the world who consider themselves Swifties, and Taylor Swift is arguably one of the most popular and well-liked musicians. She has a loyal fan base, but she has also surrounded herself with a group of best friends who have proven they have her back. That’s not all: She leaves a lasting impression on almost everyone who has met her, including professional wrestler Baron Corbin.
The WWE reality TV star met the singer at a Kansas City Chiefs game last year (we all know Swift is dating Travis Kelce, an NFL player). At the time, he shared a photo of himself and Swift from the game on social media, and fans loved it. But in a recent interview with TVInsider, Baron reflected on this meeting, saying, “It’s wild. The magnitude that she brings to everything and anything. It was awesome.”
Baron Corbin Reflects On His Meeting With Taylor Swift
Later in the interview, Baron Corbin shared his feelings towards Taylor Swift. “The biggest takeaway for me is when you are around her, she doesn’t act like a star,” he said. “She acts like a normal amazing person. She is very sweet. As soon as I was introduced to her, she gives you a big hug. Then you’re like, ‘This is crazy. She is the biggest star on the planet right now.’ To see someone so humble and how they carry themselves. In that way, it’s nice to see. It really teaches you that when people have an ego they shouldn’t.”
He continued, “You look at how the biggest star in the world acts. You should be the same. It’s the same reason I say in our locker room that if Roman Reigns doesn’t have an ego, nobody on this roster should. He is the standard at the top.”
Baron captioned his selfie from December 2023 with a message that had nothing to do with Swift. “Come back, crew, let’s go! #ChiefsKingdom,” he wrote. Still, the photo has been seen over 4 million times and attracted a lot of attention from fans (who did mention Swift). Comments on the post included, “This might be the single greatest crossover outside of Multiverse of Madness EVER,” “This is such a flex!,” and “Swifties going to be demanding Corbin gets a world title run now.”
Baron Corbin Praises His WWE Fans
Although the answer about Taylor Swift was one of Baron Corbin’s interview highlights, he also commented on his fans. TVInsider asked him to compare WWE fans to Swifties (a challenging question to answer), and he handled the question perfectly with his response. “They are similar. They are both diehards,” he shared. “If someone comes at Taylor, her whole army takes them down. The same happens when someone comes after a WWE superstar.”
We mentioned earlier that Swift and Travis Kelce are in a serious relationship, but his brother, Jason Kelce, has already shown interest in wrestling. Baron expressed his desire for either of the Kelce brothers to join a WWE match. “I hope so. I hope when he is done playing he runs a tag match with me,” he said. “It would be awesome. Maybe he can get his brother, and I can get Bron and we can form a badass group and who knows where it will go?”
