Aaron Erb had a good run on The Bachelorette, and even though things didn’t work out between him and Jenn Tran, he’s excited about his future in reality TV. He’s eyeing a spot on Bachelor in Paradise and believes he could find love in Bachelor Nation.
Using his brother Noah’s marriage as an example, he’s hopeful he could find someone special if given a chance to join the show.
Things Didn’t Work Out With Jenn, But Aaron Isn’t Giving Up On Bachelor Nation
In an interview with PEOPLE, Aaron Erb openly expressed his desire to be on Bachelor in Paradise after things didn’t work out with Jenn Tran. He reassured the franchise that he was ready for BiP, and that he believed it would be a great opportunity.
“I think I’m hopeful for wherever life takes me,” he said. “So if they give me the Bachelor In Paradise nod, given I have availability of my schedule, I would love to be on it. I think it’s an opportunity to find someone really special.”
He added that it worked for Noah Erb, his twin, who was eliminated from season 16 of The Bachelorette and then met his wife, Abigail Heringer, on Bachelor in Paradise. His brother’s example clearly sparked a lot of interest in him, and he’s even eyeing ladies in Bachelor Nation.
“There’s a few I could think about,” Aaron teased. “Let’s just say I’ve DM’d a couple,” he added when pressed. “It was more of like, it was a mutual [friend], but I’m not going to name any names. If they were there [with me in Paradise], I’d be really excited.”
Aaron Received Advice From His Brother Noah
It’s clear that Noah’s experience on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise had a big impact on Aaron, especially since the results were so overwhelmingly positive. The fact that Aaron cites Noah and Abigail’s marriage as a reason he wants to be in BiP is proof of that.
When Aaron was set to join The Bachelorette, Noah did his best to help him, and while Aaron didn’t use much of his advice, it meant a lot to him.
“I think he said, ‘Don’t make an a** of yourself,’” Aaron revealed. “And I was like, ‘I don’t know what that means.’ But yeah, he’s tried to give me advice, but you just got to figure it out on your own. There really is no advice besides, ‘be yourself.’”
Noah also gave him a self-discovery book that was very important to him, not just for the show but for life in general.
“I’ve read that book a lot,” he admitted. “That really started me on my journey of self-discovery. It honestly changed my life. It’s a short read — it’s something I brought because it has some very easy lessons to learn. I didn’t bring a book to intend to give it away.”
“I feel like it was the right move and put myself in someone else’s shoes, [asking myself], ‘How can I care about someone in that moment?’”
“Maybe I need to read it again though, honestly,” he added.
If he does end up getting into Bachelor in Paradise, he might want to read it before the show starts.
