Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has reacted to a recent Instagram video shared by Prophet Jeremiah Omoto.
The video came in response to VDM’s earlier critique of Pastor David Ibiyeomie, where the activist questioned the authenticity of a miracle performed in Ibiyeomie’s church. Prophet Omoto, addressing the issue, encouraged fellow Christians to actively defend their religious leaders online when they face criticism. He specifically advised them to take to comment sections in support of their pastors.
Omoto described VDM’s remarks about Ibiyeomie as unnecessary and inappropriate.
In his counter-video, VDM accused Prophet Omoto of effectively declaring “war” on him. He emphasized that the prophet’s reaction contradicts the biblical teaching found in Romans 12:19, which counsels believers to leave vengeance to God.
VDM stated that he wasn’t shocked by the reaction and predicted that many church followers would heed Omoto’s directive without question. Instead of fueling the conflict, he urged his followers referred to as Ratels to stay calm and maintain peace, once again invoking Romans 12:19 as his guiding principle.
The tension between VDM and Prophet Omoto is not new, as the activist has repeatedly criticized the prophet on social media.
