In an interview with People on May 28, Cavallari revealed why she decided to get in front of the cameras again. “I know I’ve said a thousand times that I would never go back to reality TV,” she said. “This worked out really well for me because I was already going on a podcast tour, and so I just thought, if cameras want to come along, I’m already doing it. It just really kind of naturally fit into my life.”

The podcast Cavallari refers to is her relationship podcast Let’s Be Honest, which she launched in September 2023. Creating a podcast allowed her to open her life to fans in a new way, and she has praised the experience as her “favorite,” noting how it enabled her to be genuine. “[It’s] the only show that I’ve done where I can say it was 100% authentic,” she told People. “It was real. It was the most real show I’ve ever done, and that was a really enjoyable experience.”
The podcast tour started in March 2025 with dates in Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, and New York. At the time of the announcement in December 2024, Cavallari made a statement sharing her excitement. “The Headline Tour is going to be inspiring, fun, and most importantly, very, very honest. Each tour stop will feature a guest who has made the biggest headlines and impact on the podcast, and together we’ll pull back the curtain and dive in even further,” she told Variety. “This podcast has taught me the power of total honesty — it is liberating — and I cannot wait to experience more of this with all of you.”

“I actually tried to quit the show three days into production because — and this isn’t a knock on any of the producers — but I think when there’s a lot of cooks in the kitchen, everyone gets excited, and they had a lot of ideas about who should come on my podcast tour, and it started really taking a left turn from what it was intended to be,” she told People. “So I was like, ‘Listen, I’m not going to do the show. If you guys are going to try to control what this podcast tour is, I’m more than happy to not do it.'”
Her decision to stand her ground worked in her favor because it made her expectations clear. Cavallari told People she didn’t want to do it “unless it’s real.” So, what we are going to see is exactly that!
