Season 2 of The Valley has been explosive, to say the least. We’re only five episodes in, and we’ve already seen Jax Taylor check himself into rehab for his mental health, Brittany Cartwright getting hit with “rage texts” from said facility, and an absolutely chaotic dynamic between estranged spouses Michelle Saniei and Jesse Lally.
Episode 4 left off with the entire cast (minus Jax) in Santa Barbara sitting in a circle of reflection — and maybe even a little resentment. The gang share what they are leaving behind and embracing in their futures. But when Michelle opened up about her daughter, Isabella, Jesse completely lost it and stormed off. The irony? He’s the one who invited all his friends and his ex on this trip in the first place.

Making Pour Decisions
Episode 5 of The Valley starts off the next morning, after an intense night that saw Jesse Lally get “triggered” during a group activity—thanks to Michelle Saniei. He admits that he wants to come to some sort of resolution with his former wife, but his actions tell a different story. Talking about the mother of your child being an escort? That’s certainly not one way for a healthy co-parenting relationship. Michelle is not letting it slide and is doing her best to continue to avoid him on this trip.
In bed with Zack Wickham, Brittany Cartwright received a text from Jax Taylor — and, thankfully, it was not a rage text. He tells her that he has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. However, Brittany admits to the cameras that he is still “messing with my emotions.” Zack is hoping that Brittany never gets back together with him after the damage he’s done.
The group head to a winery with Danny Booko arriving a little later after having to do some voice-over work back home. In a confessional, Jasmine Goode admits she’s hoping Danny doesn’t “go to the dark side,” pointing out that he’s already been drinking a lot. His reputation for overdoing it isn’t exactly new—last year’s trip to Big Beaver ended with him apologizing to both Jasmine and her girlfriend, Melissa, for inappropriately touching them while he was, in his own words, “blackout drunk.”
After Michelle receives a phone call from her and Jesse’s daughter’s nanny, Jesse takes the opportunity to sit down privately with her. Things are tense and Michelle expresses that she’s happy without him in the picture. She tells Jesse that she isn’t happy with his current girlfriend, who has been threatening her over text.
“This reminds me of our marriage,” Michelle begins in a confessional. “He doesn’t understand what he did wrong. “Instead of starting off with an apology, he turns it around and makes it about himself,” she adds.

During an appearance on WWHL, Brittany Cartwright didn’t hold back when sharing her true feelings about ex Jax Taylor.
When Michelle doesn’t get the apology she’s looking for, she fires off, “Look at you, you’re a disaster,” prompting Jesse to snap back with, “And you’re a hooker.” Michelle gets up from her seat, yelling, “I’m the mother of your f****** child!” Things spiral fast as Jesse starts reaching for personal bank records, but the group steps in before it gets even messier. That is, until Michelle drops a bomb—pulling out her phone and claiming Jesse has been receiving money from a gay man.
Brittany steps in and wants Jesse to actually apologize for “doubling down” on his comments about Michelle being a hooker. He admits that it’s not true and apologizes, but again, Michelle isn’t buying any of it.

Brittany And Jasmine Question Danny And Nia’s Picture-Perfect Marriage
Back at the house, Jesse and Michelle sit down for yet another tense one-on-one. Jesse tells her he wants her to be happy for him and his new relationship, but Michelle can’t bring herself to fake it. She believes the new woman is just “one of many” and worries about the impact this revolving door of relationships could have on their daughter, Isabella, as she grows up.
Things only get worse from there. Jesse accuses Michelle of being “a liar and a cheater”—clearly still believing that she may have been unfaithful during their marriage. Michelle stands her ground, insisting she never cheated. Though she does admit to kissing someone, she says that’s as far as it ever went.
The Valley Season 2 Cast | Status |
---|---|
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor | Separated |
Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei | Separated |
Jason Caperna and Janet Caperna | Married |
Danny Booko and Nia Booko | Married |
Jasmine Goode and Melissa Marie | Engaged |
Zack Wickham and Benji Quach | Dating |
Things again escalate between the two, and it’s so bad the rest of the group can hear them arguing from below. Michelle begins yelling at him, and she ends up throwing a glass of water on him before storming off.
Later, the group sits down for dinner, and the moment Nia steps away, the conversation immediately shifts to Danny’s drinking. Janet Caperna reveals she caught him sneaking shots of tequila in the pantry. When Danny doesn’t show up to dinner, Nia brushes it off, saying he’s just sleep-deprived—but the rest of the group isn’t buying it, especially Jasmine, who seems to still be upset with Danny for the incident involving her and Melissa.
Brittany expresses that she is frustrated that both Nia and Danny are hiding their real life issues from the cameras. Meanwhile, she’s sharing the bad and the good about her life with Jax. Zack is the one to spill all of this information back to Nia, and she is pretty caught off guard that her friends are talking so negatively about her and her marriage behind her back.
Nia walks into the room just in time to hear Brittany and Jasmine venting about her picture-perfect life. She owns up to the fact that Danny was drunk and, honestly, it’s time to put this to rest. But Brittany isn’t ready to let it go. She’s still bothered that Nia never shares anything negative about her marriage. Then again, no one’s really topping Jax.
The men also hear all the commotion, with Jesse jokingly stating, “Michelle and I are the most sane people in the house right now.”
