Former Anambra State Commissioner for Lands and Youth Development, Hon. Bonaventure Enemali, has officially left the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the November 2025 governorship election in the state.
Enemali announced his defection during a political gathering in his home ward of Nzam, where he declared support for APC’s governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu. He described Ukachukwu as “a visionary leader capable of transforming Anambra.”
Explaining his decision, Enemali said it was informed by the need for leadership that prioritises accountability and inclusive governance.
“This is not just a political move. It is a decision rooted in deep conviction and the desire to see our state truly prosper. I am fully with Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, and I also express my unreserved support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027,” he said.
The event, attended by APC supporters and party officials, marked what many party insiders view as a notable addition to the APC’s campaign structure.
Enemali, who has previously held key government roles and is regarded for his involvement in youth development, is expected to bring organisational strength and grassroots support to the party’s efforts.
Leaders of the APC in Anambra welcomed Enemali into their fold, stating that his entry signals growing momentum and interest in the party’s platform ahead of the upcoming elections.
