Singer Dkokopee Returns to Lagos From China, Sparks Questions Over VeryDarkMan’s Whereabouts

Ogaga Okokowa, popularly known as Dkokopee and a close associate of activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has spoken out about the ongoing situation following his friend’s arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Following mass protests demanding VeryDarkMan’s release, several demonstrators were reportedly detained. In a recent video update, Dkokopee shared that he is now collaborating with the EFCC to secure the protesters’ release, emphasizing that those found with no incriminating evidence on their devices would be let go.

Dkokopee, who has consistently posted videos criticizing the EFCC’s handling of the case, thanked supporters who rallied behind VeryDarkMan. He praised their bravery, calling them the “real MVPs” for risking their safety to stand up for his friend.

During the video, the rising music artist also spoke about focusing on his career, stating that it was his moment to rise and that he wouldn’t let anything hinder his progress. He remarked that not every conflict needs to be met with confrontation, especially when one isn’t entirely innocent.

He concluded by assuring viewers that VeryDarkMan’s legal team is actively pursuing his release and then shifted the mood by encouraging fans to listen to his latest track, celebrating with visible excitement.

Recall that Dkokopee was the one who cried out that VDM was missing.
