The Top Four Will Go Head To Head

The semi-finals will officially air on Wednesday, April 30th, where fans will get to see the remaining masked contestants battle it out for a chance at glory. Together, the group will first do a group performance, doing the song “HandClap!” before moving on to their solo performances.

It’s since been announced that the individual performances will include the following hit songs: “A Bar Song (AKA Tipsy),” “Maps,” “You Don’t Own Me,” and “What Was I Made For,” a mix of more recent hits as well as some throwbacks from several years ago. The season’s panelists, which include Ken Jeong, Rita Ora, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, will continue trying to guess who is behind the amazing voices they’ve been hearing each week.

The Season’s Reveals Have Been Star-Studded So Far

Fans have already noted how amazing the season has been so far, as every elimination reveal has proved to be a very famous face that they can’t seem to believe signed on for the show. As of this article’s publishing, there have been over ten unmaskings on the season so far, with some major A-listers among them.

Included in the participants this season are some notable reality TV stars, such as Scheana Shay of Vanderpump Rules and The Valley. There have also been those from the music world, including Flavor Flav and Aubrey O’Day. Viewers were also surprised to find some of their old 90s heartthrobs among the cast as well. Candace Cameron Bure participated as the “Cherry Blossom” character, while, in the second-most recent elimination, Matthew Lawrence was revealed to be the angelic voice behind the “Paparazzo” character.

Sarah Palin petitioned the court to hide her The Masked Singer past during her lawsuit against The New York Times.

After Matthew’s elimination, he explained that, as much as fans were surprised about his appearance on the show, he was perhaps even more surprised. In his final onstage comments while still in costume, he elaborated on his feelings:

If you had told me that this little guy would still be standing here, I’d say, ‘You’re crazy,’ because I’ve never sang before… And — big spoiler alert — this next song is the biggest hint to my identity yet.

While some cast members seem to join The Masked Singer to see if they can hide in plain sight for the amusement of it all, Mathew seemed to be joining the show for a completely different reason. “I did this ’cause it’s kind of a fear of me, to be honest with you. The chance to sing and have that veil — that was a big thing for me,” the newcomer to the stage admitted.
