Joe Rogan is not one to turn down controversial figures on his podcast, including Kanye “Ye” West, whom he described as a challenging guest who had so much to say. The Joe Rogan Experience host even had a great time interviewing (and endorsing) Donald Trump, who once called him “weak and frightened.”

So it was no surprise when the POTUS’ close friend, Elon Musk, made his sixth appearance on Joe’s podcast in February 2025. During the interview, the “nightmare” billionaire made serious name-dropping allegations about the “Jeffrey Epstein List” that surprised the reality TV host-turned-podcaster.

During the interview, Elon and Joe shared their frustrations about the Epstein Files not coming out. “There’s this real fear that someone’s destroying the evidence,” the host said, to which his guest added, “Where is the evidence? … Like tons of videos and Recordings… Where is that mountain [of evidence]?

Over an hour later, Elon claimed that “known Epstein clients who are obviously extremely powerful, powerful politically and very wealthy are Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, and Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn founder).” He said there were “others,” too.

Joe found it “frustrating to be sitting in a situation where the [Epstein] list isn’t coming out.” The Epstein docs were set to be released on February 27, a day before Joe and Elon’s interview came out, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Pam announced that the files contain a “lot of flight logs, a lot of names, a lot of information” on the late child sex offender. “Phase 1” has been released, with Hollywood stars such as Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, and Alec Baldwin in the “contact book.“

But a lot of its parts are still redacted. “What’s the point in giving these people, like, a happy folder to wave around in front of the camera with nothing in it that’s new? It doesn’t make any sense,” Joe said of the rollout. “It’s not encouraging.”

Elon then told Joe that the delays in the “Epstein List” release were related to Jeffrey’s “known clients” and the POTUS. “Why was Reid Hoffman so intent on destroying Trump?” the SpaceX founder asked the host, who suggested, “Because they’re worried about the list coming out?”

Elon said it was “one of the reasons.” Joe seemed to agree with the narrative, saying: “It’s so blatant. It’s so obvious. The SpaceX lawsuit, the Trump stuff, it’s just so obvious.” ICYMI, Reid funded Jean Carroll’s sexual assault lawsuit against Donald, but he hasn’t filed any legal action against Elon’s accusations.

In a subreddit dedicated to JRE, fans expressed their disappointment in Joe’s sixth interview with Elon. “Straight up propaganda,” wrote a user. Longtime fans are even turning on the podcaster, who’s repeatedly described Elon as a “brilliant mind,” among other praises.

“The way that he fawns over Elon is really off putting. It’s literally hard to watch…,” wrote a Redditor. Another critic observed that “Rogan is praising what he thinks is the best qualities of this guy (Elon), whilst simultaneously ignoring the more than questionable side.”

Fans are mainly bothered by Joe being “full right-wing” these days. A commenter noticed that the host “wasn’t deeply held to one side politically” before and that “he would explore both sides, and would always fact check himself.”

In October 2024, CNN caught 32 false claims made by Donald on Joe’s podcast. But at this point, it’s safe to say that the influential online figure may never get canceled.
