Big Brother Naija’s former housemate, Queen Mercy Atang, and her husband, David Oyekanmi, are celebrating their first wedding anniversary today.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Queen noted that today marks one year of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments together. She revealed that this past year has been a beautiful, eventful, and sometimes challenging journey, with the couple growing side by side, learning from each other, overcoming obstacles, and building a life rooted in love and trust.


Queen noted that she and her husband aren’t just partners but best friends and each other’s greatest blessings. She stated that they will always cherish their bond, continue to grow in love and understanding, face every challenge together, and raise Godly children.
The mother of one cheered on to more adventures and pursuit of dreams.

Recall that in October, barely 7 months after their wedding, news circulated online that Queen’s 7-month marriage was on the rock. Kemi Filani noticed that the reality star had unfollowed her husband on Instagram and had deleted all photos of him. To make it worse, she had removed his name from her Instagram bio.
During the festive period, Queen had shut down separation rumors her she reunited with her husband in the UK for Christmas. Proven that she and her husband are still waxing strong, Queen shared photos of her traveling as she revealed that she was back to wifey duties.
Her husband, King David, also proved that all was well between them as he welcomed her home and promised to spoil her.
The reality star tied the knot in March to David Oyekanmi. Queen held her wedding introduction in her hometown in Akwa Ibom, which had in attendance some of her colleagues like Nini Singh.
Days after the introduction, the reality star and her man, David legally tied the knot. The civil wedding was held at the Federal Marriage Registry, Lagos with friends, family, and close ones of the couple in attendance.
