SS3 Student, Others Storm Suleja Community In Violent Attack Over Girlfriend

The Niger State Police Command has arrested six suspects after a violent clash between students of Annur Islamic Model School and youths in the Zuma Bread area of Chaichainiya, Suleja Local Government Area.

The development was contained in a post by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X , where he revealed that the altercation, which began as a dispute over girlfriends, escalated into a deadly brawl.

According to him, the fight broke out on March 6, 2025, around 9:11 p.m., shortly after the Tarawih prayer.



“Over twenty youths and students, allegedly led by an SSS 3 student, Umar Idris, invaded the area armed with dangerous weapons.

“During the clash, gunshots were fired from an unknown direction, hitting two minors,” he said.

The victims, identified as 11-year-old Immarana Hassan and 10-year-old Nura Jibrin, sustained gunshot wounds to their thighs.

They were immediately rushed to Suleja General Hospital, where they are responding to treatment.

Following a distress call, police operatives and local vigilantes swiftly intervened to restore calm.



“Six suspects have been taken into custody, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend others who were involved in masterminding the attack.”
