President Bola Tinubu has been described as a beacon of inspiration for leaders across the West Africa sub-region.
This description of the president was given by the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin who also serves as the first deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2025 first Extraordinary Session of the ECOWAS Parliament in Lagos, Jibrin said the president has continued to show dedication to the growth of the West African region.
He said that Tinubu who is the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government is a “beacon of inspiration” and a “pillar of progress and cooperation,” whose leadership has strengthened regional solidarity.
According to the lawmaker, President Tinubu’s leadership acumen has paved the way for a resilient Africa.
He also urged leaders to remain committed to championing unity and collaborative efforts among member states.
“Through our collaborative efforts and decision-making, we can strengthen our region, working together towards shared goals that advance prosperity and progress. Let us remain steadfast in our commitment to general unity, cooperation and progress,” Jibrin added.
