Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Student Killed In Hit-And-Run Accident

According to eyewitnesses, Faith was on her way to school on a motorcycle when the truck collided with them, leading to her death on the spot.

Faith Aluku Adeshola, a diploma journalism student of the Department of Mass Communication, Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, lost her life on Wednesday after being struck by a hit-and-run truck driver.

According to eyewitnesses, Faith was on her way to school on a motorcycle when the truck collided with them, leading to her death on the spot.

Both the truck driver and the motorcycle rider have been arrested and are currently in police custody.

Her body has been deposited at the morgue of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital.

It was further gathered that Faith was still in the process of completing her registration at the time of her tragic death.

Meanwhile, President of the institution’s Students’ Union Government, SUG, Comrade Haruna Umar has urged students to remain calm, assuring them that the polytechnic’s management and security agencies were working to ensure justice for the deceased.

Umar also called on the Polytechnic’s management and the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, to install speed bumps around the institution’s perimeter to prevent similar incidents in the future.
