Nigerian dancer, Lil Smart has publicly retracted the allegations he made against his former boss and singer, Naira Marley.

Following his arrest by the Nigerian police on charges of defamation and cyberstalking, Lil Smart clarified that Naira Marley was not involved in his alleged abduction or assault.

In a video statement, Lil Smart admitted that he mistakenly implicated Naira Marley in the theft of $300, stating that the Marlian Music boss was not present at the scene.

He attributed his mistake to the presence of Naira Marley’s associates at the scene.

Expressing remorse for his actions, Lil Smart apologized for spreading unverified claims on social media

He advised his followers to report incidents to the authorities instead of making unsubstantiated claims online.

He said: “He was my ex-boss, his boys were at the scene so that was why I thought it might have come from him.”

“I feel very bad and now I’ve seen my mistake and I can correct myself and fellow Nigerians that you don’t come out to post what you don’t have proof of or what you’re not sure of and you should just go to the nearest police station and report instead of coming online.”
