The drama between exes Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover continues as their co-stars have inserted themselves in their split. More recently, in an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Southern Charm star Patricia Altschul referred to Paige as “mean,” to the shock of viewers and Andy himself.
The Charleston socialite didn’t hold back and shared her true feelings about the Summer House star. However, Paige didn’t let the slight dig go unnoticed and appeared to hit back at Miss Patricia. Paige has been vocal on social media since her breakup from Craig, even throwing some shade at the Bravo show itself.
Fans have also responded to the “mean” statement and, surprisingly, some are siding with Miss Patricia.

Both Patricia Altschul and Austen Kroll were guests on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live after the premiere of Episode 8 of Season 10 of Southern Charm. And, it was no surprise that the two were asked about Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo’s split, as it’s been a hot topic in the reality TV realm.
During their interview, both Austen and Miss Patricia defended their friend and co-star Craig, and shaded Paige heavily. In fact, they divulged more than what Andy and the viewers were expecting. What caught fans off guard was Patricia spilling her honest thoughts about Paige.
When Andy asked Miss Pat if she was “surprised” that Craig and Paige broke up, she said, “No.” However, she went on to state that Paige was “mean” to Craig.
“I thought that Paige was mean to Craig,” Patricia told Andy. She also felt the same way about Craig’s ex, Naomie Olindo. “You know, when you come to think of it, Naomie was mean to Craig, and I think he deserves somebody who will really love and cherish him.”
Naomie Olindo starred on the Bravo show from Seasons 3-5, and later appeared in Season 8.
That wasn’t all—Patricia also brought up a specific scene on the show in which Paige made a face when Craig talked about their future. “Because remember, when he said to her, ‘I want to get married and have kids,’ and she said, ‘Bleh.'”
After the show aired, Paige appeared to hit back at the Charleston socialite. The Summer House star shared a quote on her Instagram Story that read:
“Teach your daughters that having a voice is way more important than being nice.
Paige seemed to subtly shade Miss Patricia. However, fans responded with mixed feelings.

Fans Had Mixed Reactions To Paige’s Instagram Story
A Reddit thread that shared Paige’s Instagram Story saw fans both defending the Giggly Squad podcast host and agreeing with Miss Patricia. Those who defended Paige believed that the Charmers didn’t understand the reality star’s strong-willed personality.
“Unpopular opinion obviously, but I’ve always liked Paige. She’s obviously not perfect, nor is anyone on reality tv. I dont agree with some of the things she says, she definitely has her flaws. But she has a different sense of humour that I don’t think a lot of people grasp and her confessionals are funny as hell.”
“She’s sarcastic and from New York. Relatively speaking, she’s a really nice New Yorker😂,” another commenter wrote.
“What she’s saying is that people are interpreting assertiveness as meaness. Do you think a man with the same personality as Paige would be called mean or just a man? Anyways, those two shouldn’t be talking when we’ve seen a lot of nasty moments from both,” another person said.
“As a fellow Scorpio I understand Paige, if anyone was mean to Craig it was Naomi,” a comment read.
“Paige is mean, I don’t know why she’d be offended by that,” another user blatanly wrote.
Meanwhile, others slammed Paige’s quote as users argued that you can be “a strong woman and be nice to people.”
“That is one of my biggest pet peeves; when people who are cruel say they’re being honest or real. You can be genuine and not be harsh af. Note: I am not saying Paige is cruel I’m just responding to the part of the post about equating being rude with strength,” a commenter wrote.
“Being petty 24/7 doesn’t mean you have a voice, Paige. In fact, as someone who used to listen to giggly squad, I can tell that she doesn’t have one, nor any real opinions or interests.”
“Be as mean as you want, but you should at least be nice to the person you love.”

While on WWHL, Austen also shared his views on Craig and Paige’s split. Like Miss Patricia, Austen shocked viewers with his brutal opinion of Paige. When a fan asked the Trop Hop beer brewer if the rumors of Paige already dating someone were true, Austen shockingly replied that those weren’t rumors at all.
“I don’t think those are rumors. I think that they’ve been substantiated, and I think that Craig knows as such. You know, he didn’t know for a minute, but yeah, I think that he’s fully come to terms with that. That’s not a rumor,” he said.
Reports suggest that Paige has been linked to Joe D’Amelio after the two were spotted attending a Philadelphia Eagles game. They were later spotted at a member’s only social club in New York City, in late January.
Paige clapped back at Austen’s comments. In a WWHL Instagram post of Austen’s interview, the reality star wrote, “Ahhh yes a man I haven’t spoken to in 6 months knows exactly what I’m doing.”
And, Paige has continued to “like” social media posts that are downright shady, including a post by the Instagram page, Sassy Af, that read:
“I’m so bummed to be single. How will I ever find another guy who brings absolutely nothing to the table.”
Yikes. She also has not denied that she’s dating someone. Paige announced her split from Craig in an episode of her Giggly Squad podcast in December 2024.
