Relationship drama is a key component of reality television, along with family fights and bruised friendships. This kind of drama keeps viewers hooked and makes for great storylines. In the series Southern Charm, relationship drama has been a major part of what has kept viewers tuned in lately.
Taylor Ann Green has been a major source of interest on the show thanks to her relationship journey. From her drama-filled journey with Shep Rose to her latest relationship with Gaston Rojas, she has always managed to keep fans’ attention. Taylor might be happy in a new relationship, but there are already qualities about Gaston which make him seem out of place in her world.
Taylor Spilled On Gaston, Shep, And Past Drama On Watch What Happens Live
During a January 2025 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Taylor Ann Green discussed a lot of topics, including Gaston Rojas, her current boyfriend, and Shep Rose, her ex-boyfriend. Other topics she discussed included the kiss she shared with Austen Kroll, and the drama that ensued as a result. Part of that drama was between her and Olivia Flowers. Taylor reacted to being accused of calling Salley Carson a “hooker.” She also addressed the suggestion made by Shep that her family wanted the two together again. Taylor also told host Andy Cohen that she was not worried about the bad things people were saying about Gaston.
“I know exactly where he came from. I’m not at all [concerned],” Taylor said during the interview, even making the admission that Gaston “has” met her family.
When reflecting on the ninth season of Southern Charm, Taylor told viewers that she had no regrets dating Shep, nor does she regret kissing Austen, lying to Olivia about said kiss, and sending Whitney Sudler-Smith a picture of it. She doesn’t even regret attending Salley’s housewarming party in Season 10. Another bombshell was made when Taylor revealed she and Olivia were speaking again.
“I’m very, very happy for Olivia and where she’s going in life right now. We actually have reconnected. She reached out to me when we first started filming so it was very good to hear from her. She was checking in on me so I’m glad we were able to … I wish you guys could see it,” Taylor said, referring to Olivia’s exit from the series.
However, despite speaking long-distance, Taylor said that she still hasn’t seen Olivia in Charleston recently. She also told Andy that she still hasn’t met Alex Williams, Olivia’s fiancé. “She’s kind of in and out,” Taylor explained.
Taylor also spoke about Shep’s romance with Miss Bahamas, Sienna Evans. Taylor said she was “not surprised” by the romance, saying that Shep told her “I love you” before they agreed to be exclusive. She added that throwing the word “love” around is something Shep has a tendency to do.
Despite this, Taylor refused to label Shep a love bomber. This caused her to spill some tea about another guy, with Taylor saying, “Not as much as Austen.” At one point, Shep seemed to suggest Taylor’s family wanted to see them reconcile. When asked about this, Taylor motioned to her mother, who was in the audience. “We all want our kids to be happy and thriving, and that’s our prayer for Taylor, and she is,” Leslie said.
Taylor has been rumored to have called Salley a “hooker” in the past. However, this is something Taylor denied, saying, “Absolutely not,” when asked about the claims. She also reacted to the moment Venita Aspen told Salley that she had kept from being anything beyond cordial with her due to past drama with Austen and Olivia.
“I came in wanting to make amends with the women in this group. That was my only intention of this season and so I would like to hope that we’re getting to that point but we’ll see as the season continues,” Taylor said.
Taylor also denied rumors that it was Sally, rather than Shep, who was the real reason Gaston didn’t feel comfortable around the group. She spoke more about why Gaston wasn’t seen on Southern Charm that much when asked about it in the aftershow.
“He doesn’t want to be around people that are just not gonna give him the time of day. Nobody in this ground wants to give him the time of day. Nobody. People in [Southern Hospitality] do. And they have and they know him,” Taylor explained.

Southern Charm’s Taylor Ann Green’s Boyfriend Gaston Rojas’ Connection To Southern Hospitality, Explained
In Season 3 of Southern Hospitality, fans noticed that Taylor Ann Green’s boyfriend was mentioned. How is he connected to the cast?
Taylor then said that she has known Gaston for a few years, despite the pair only dating for about “a year and a half.” “He was good friends with [TJ] so I’ve known him since TJ started bringing him around,” she said.
Shep Once Compared Sienna To Taylor And Criticized Taylor’s New Boyfriend
Taylor and Shep gave viewers drama in season nine as they were only exes to each other. However, when the show’s 10th season started, they were both in new relationships, ready to begin a new chapter. In a December 2024 episode, Shep introduced his new girlfriend, Sienna, whom he revealed he met on a dating app.
“I was enthralled with her,” Shep revealed in a confessional. “Basically, I just think she’s so sexy. There’s nobody else that looks anything like her, and I think the whole country of The Bahamas would agree since she is Miss Bahamas [World].”
Taylor’s boyfriend, Southern Hospitality‘s Gaston, was criticized by Seth. Seth said that Gaston looked like a “villain from The Bourne Identity.”
Taylor didn’t seem to let it get to her, as she said her relationship with Gaston was like “night and day” from her relationship with Shep. “Our relationship feels more like a partnership,” Taylor said. “Gaston really makes me feel like I am good enough and that’s different for me.”
When discussing Sienna, Shep said that she was a very different woman than Taylor. He then praised Sienna, saying that she is “very smart and driven and independent.”
“She’s a lot of things that Taylor wasn’t, even though she’s younger, as far as just having your own thing going on and being a big baller,” Shep said.
In an interview with People, Shep said that he “was definitely thinking about long-term” with Sienna. “She’s from The Bahamas and she’s like, ‘Why don’t you just move to The Bahamas?’ And I was like, ‘Huh. Maybe what I’m supposed to do in this life is to open up a beach hotel on a white sand beach and have babies,’” Shep told the outlet. “It’s funny how we can all fantasize about these different realities.”

Southern Charm’s Shep Rose Reveals Taylor Ann Green Pushed For A Proposal, But Why Is He Still Talking About His Ex?
Shep Rose revealed that his ex, Taylor Ann Green really hoped to get married to him.
Shep acknowledged that “the white picket fence in the suburbs probably isn’t going to happen” for him. However, he also made it clear that he didn’t want it to. Despite this, he still believes marriage and kids might be in his future. “I’m looking forward to that, but I know I’m not going to rush that,” Shep said.
Taylor Said That She Is Looking To The Future With Gaston And Feels Optimistic
Following Shep’s comments, Taylor stepped in and told People that she didn’t believe that he was capable of settling down.
“I think he’s very nostalgic when it comes to the idea of wanting to settle down or have a life partner, someone you trust and your best friend,” Taylor told the outlet. “I just don’t think that he’s capable of that. But if he does find that one day, that’s great. I hope the best for him. I’m glad it’s not me.”
According to Taylor, she is “happy that things happened the way it did” and feels she is “in such a better place” now with Gaston. She said that part of the reason she was able to move on to another relationship was the boundaries she set with her ex. Taylor said this included blocking his number.
“I don’t remember blocking him, but I guess I did,” Taylor said. “I blocked and deleted his number. It was probably a drunken block, but he had been trying to contact me in the past, and I just find that disrespectful to me and my relationship, especially when last year I had a hard time creating those boundaries and moving forward.”
Taylor thinks “there’s no reason” for her and Shep “to be best buds” in the wake of their relationship ending. “He just wants to [say], ‘Oh, we had a great run. It was fun,’” she said. “It was actually very taxing on my end. I was very hurt and broken and I acted out in ways that I never would. And so I’m trying to create that boundary for myself as I’m dating someone new. I’m not only respecting my boundaries, but I’m respecting this relationship.”
Gaston had Taylor, her family and family friends over for Thanksgiving. The article also revealed the couple planned to spend Christmas together in Florida. At the time of the interview, Taylor and Gaston had been together for over a year. Taylor told the outlet that she and Gaston were “talking about the next steps” in their relationship.
“Every decision that he makes, I’m priority,” Taylor said. “I take precedence and I’m always like, ‘I really appreciate that. I want you to do what you want to do. But I appreciate that because I’ve never had that in any of my relationships.’ It’s nice to have that feeling like I’m important in his life.”

Will Taylor Ann Green Redeem Herself This Season On Southern Charm?
Ever since Taylor Ann Green’s secret make-out session with Austen Kroll played out last season on Southern Charm, fans and co-stars have been weary of Taylor and her motives. This season, Taylor is trying to redeem herself, especially in light of her new relationship. But do you think it’s enough to erase the bad taste she left last season? Or will she always be remembered for making out with her best friend’s ex?
Still, as she revealed on Watch What Happens Live, Taylor said Gaston won’t be making much of an appearance on Southern Charm.
“He really wants nothing to do with the show,” she said. “I know we’ve seen him on Hospitality a little bit, but he was in between jobs when he was doing that, and he was like, ‘I didn’t really have anything to lose. I don’t care.’ But now that he is secure in his job and he’s working hard, that’s one of his primary focuses.”
