Fast-forward to January 2025, the two performers are in a sticky situation again. Erika’s son, Sgt. Tommy Zizzo Jr. testified during the gun trial of Rihanna’s baby daddy, A$AP Rocky. The rapper faces up to 24 years in prison if convicted of two felony assault charges.

Erika Jayne May Not Be Getting A DM From Rihanna Anytime Soon
Erika’s son, Tommy was the first witness called on the stand in Rocky’s trial. He responded to reports of the shooting incident in which the “Highjack” hitmaker was allegedly involved back in November 2021. The police officer was cross-examined by Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, about the absence of evidence at the scene.
Tommy confirmed on the stand that he didn’t see physical proof that a shooting had taken place.
Things could be awkward between Rihanna and Erika Jayne—who still follow each other on Instagram as of this writing—for a while (looks like the @theprettymess isn’t getting any DMs from @badgalriri anytime soon).

- Rocky was arrested in April 2022 after he was accused of firing a handgun at his fellow A$AP Mob member and former friend, A$AP Relli. “I was hit. Or I was grazed. I didn’t have a hole or nothing,” Relli said of the alleged altercation that injured his knuckles.
- Rihanna was absent during the jury selection (January 23) where a prospective juror said “yes” when asked: “If Rihanna comes here to court, is it going to be hard for you to look over there and see the defendant’s family and deliver a guilty verdict?”
- During the opening statements for the trial, (January 24), Rocky’s lawyer insisted that he was carrying a “prop gun” incapable of firing real bullets; they pointed out the lack of fingerprints and an actual gun from the alleged assault.
Now, the sticky situation between Rihanna and Erika is not just about the trial. The latter is known for being protective of her son’s identity given his line of work. Some RHOBH fans had even forgotten she had a child until Tommy was filmed during his testimony.
Erika Jayne said she’s “actually pretty tight” with her son Tommy Zizzo Jr. and his father, adding that “they have been very supportive” of her.
In 2020, the Bet It All on Blonde star defended her son from a troll who shaded his profession following the death of George Floyd. “[Tommy’s] job is to protect and serve ALL not just people that have his skin color. F–k you and stay off my page,” Erika said at that time.

At that time, an insider told The Sun that Riri’s team had “no current plans to work with [Erika], there have been discussions and at the minute they think it’s a bad look.”

Erika walked the Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 2 in October 2020. “Her team called her to be an ambassador last year and she appeared in their second fashion show, they were thrilled to have her on board,” the same source said of how the RHOBH star got the gig.
But someone, seemingly from Erika’s side, told the outlet that she didn’t renew her Savage X Fenty modeling contract because she was releasing a lingerie line of her own. “Erika is set to launch her own lingerie line, so she wouldn’t be able to sign anything,” they claimed in the same report.
