In the wake of his divorce announcement from his wife of over two decades, a video of legendary singer, Innocent Idibia, better known as 2face or 2baba, has surfaced online.
In the clip, which is fast making rounds, the award-winning singer hinted at his marital troubles with Annie, while performing at the 65th Anniversary and Mega Reunion of Christ Apostolic Grammar School Old Students Association (CAGSOSA) on Saturday, January 25th, 2025.
The music icon, while addressing the audience, stated that his wife, Annie Idibia, was at home while he was still searching.
“Annie dey house while we are still searching.”
Elsewhere in the clip, 2face joked that he doesn’t impregnate women anyhow and has stopped doing such. His statement erupted laughter from the audience.
“I no dey give belle anyhow again. I don stop”.
The video has elicited mixed reactions from netizens, with the majority expressing sympathy for his wife, Annie.

The divorce announcement came as a shock as just a few days back, Annie had shared clips of her Detty December with 2baba as she gushed over their union. The mother of two told her haters and critics, who she referred to as devil and witches to give it up as it has been 25 years of friendship and 13 years of marriage with her husband.
Recall that in 2021, the Idibia’s marriage almost hit the rock as Annie Idibia publicly called out her husband, accusing him of having an affair with his second baby mama, Pero Adeniyi. However, the couple was able to settle their differences and in 2023, 2baba denounced his role model title after tendering a public apology to her.
Annie poured out her heart to 2baba, stating that her husband isn’t just her man; he is her home, rest, heart, and safe place. She added that 2baba is hers and she is his.
Reflecting on the drama, Annie stated that she doesn’t know how she survived that scandal, but credited it to Grace.
