The vice chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Abdulwahab Egbewole, weekend, inaugurated the school’s Advancement Board to drive the institution’s vision of becoming a global leader in education, research and community engagement.
The vice chancellor will also Monday January 13th unveil a billboard to herald activities marking the 50th years anniversary of the university.
Chaired by a financial expert, Dr. Abdulwahab Awal Ibrahim, FCA, other members of the board are: Bolaji Elelu- (external member), Abiodun Adetunji (External member ) while the university’s registrar, Alfanla will serve as the board’s Secretary.
Statutory members are the university’s ara: deputy vice chancellors (Acadamics),deputy vice chancellor (Management service), deputy vice chancellor (Research Technology and Innovation ), the University librarian, the busar , the university’s international auditor and director advancement centre.
Speaking at the brief ceremony, held at the university’s main auditorium, Egbewole said the “Advancement Board will serve as a bridge between the university and the broader society we are committed to serving. Your role is to provide strategic guidance, innovative ideas, and invaluable networks that will propel our institution to new heights of excellence.”
