Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay And Bryan Abasolo Finalize Their Divorce

Season 13 of The Bachelorette’s happy ending has officially unraveled, as lead Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo have finalized their divorce.

Rachel’s ties to Bachelor Nation are deep, as she previously appeared on Season 21 of The Bachelor, coming in third with Nick Viall as the lead — and she was featured in The Bachelor Winter Games in 2018.

Rachel and Bryan met during her season of the reality TV competition in 2017, and in its course, Bryan told Rachel:

“When we first kissed, it was literally like a chemistry bomb had just exploded and I just knew that first night, a hundred percent certainty in my heart that we definitely could be something special.
“You are everything I could ever want in a woman, a wife, the mother of my children. I’m completely head-over-heels, totally, absolutely in love with you, I just hope you feel the same.”

The couple got engaged, married in 2019, and were happy together for several years.

Rachel and Bryan separated in December 2023, and by May, their joint living arrangements were causing significant stress for both parties.

Back in June, we reported on Rachel and Bryan’s then-already messy separation, as well as their lack of a pre-nuptial agreement — and later that month, Rachel was ordered to pay Bryan over $13,000 a month in temporary spousal support while their divorce was pending.

In August, Rachel described getting engaged to Bryan on The Bachelorette as the “scariest day” of her season, admitting that she had no intention of actually getting engaged on the show:

“After that first night, I was like, there’s potential here, but I still was like, there’s no way I’m gonna marry this person. And even when you get engaged at the end… it’s the scariest day when the cameras shut down.”

Later in August, Rachel was ordered to pay Bryan more than $40,000, as “an advance on their shared assets and [to] be deducted from Bryan’s final share” when their divorce was finalized.

Rachel and Bryan’s divorce was finalized on Tuesday, January 7.

Page Six was first to report the news, after obtaining documents related to the dissolution of their marriage.

Under the terms of their divorce, Rachel owed an “equalization payment” to Bryan, and her previous monthly payments were taken into account:

“While a Los Angeles court ordered Lindsay, 39, to pay Abasolo, 44, more than $13,000 a month in temporary spousal support in July 2024, new court documents obtained by us state that the chiropractor ‘waives, discharges and releases’ the Season 13 lead from ‘any and all’ future payments. Lindsay was, however, ordered to pay the chiropractor a $500,000 equalization payment.
“According to the settlement, since Lindsay [had] already paid Abasolo $39,771 in spousal support, that will be deducted from the total.”

Per Page Six, Rachel’s first payment totals $230,114.50, and is due by January 17 of this year — the second payment of $230,114.50 is due by January 2026, and the sum is “subject to a 3% interest rate annually.”

Rachel and Bryan, who did not have any children together, were each permitted to keep personal possessions, and under the terms of the divorce, Rachel was released from any additional financial liabilities with the equalization payment.
