Following his failed bid to snag the heavyweight titles again, Tyson Fury is in a whole new fury. Fury challenged Oleksandr Usyk and came up short in their DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) showdown. The Ukrainian boxing champion defended his WBA, WBO, and WBC titles even though ‘Gypsy King’ put on quite a show. The aftermath of the matchup saw Fury in a whole different shade.
Oleksandr Usyk logged in a lopsided 116-112 on all three judges’ scorecards. New footage from TNT Sports Box Office (MMA and Boxing in the UK, Ireland region) recently revealed Tyson Fury’s seething reaction to it all. It was on the similar veins of the first go-around when the Brit said Usyk got sympathetic scoring due to the global crisis.

All three – Patrick Morley from the United States, Ignacio Robles from Panama, and Gerardo Martinez from Puerto Rico — scored it in Usyk’s favor. Still reeling, Fury stirred the pot loudly on location partiality by the Saudi GEA boxing team. Tyson Fury later bashed the experimental AI scoring, tagging it 118-112 with an even greater differential! However, Fury’s comment has caught flak with one notable fan (@friezsnake) saying “What a pathetic sore loser. Keep crying Fury Keep crying“.

To make matters worse, the Morecambe native is due to pay $35 million in taxes to His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs for his Saudi GEA Riaydh Season participation. So now wonder why Fury has a long foul taste right now. But that’s not where his woes stop.
Oleksandr Usyk chooses Anthony Joshua to defeat Tyson Fury in 2025
Oleksandr Usyk is nitpicking Brit KO artist Anthony Joshua to defeat Tyson Fury when the two meet in 2025. Under the didactics of boxing promoter Frank Warren, he has always had the safety net of two billings against former WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO flame Joshua. After the latter’s recent loss, he was moreover vying more such a Brit Battle if Fury lost too. Now he has.
It’s not a totally big shock that Usyk (23-0, 12 KOs) thinks so. AJ has what it takes to defeat Fury because he has a huge advantage in power, speed, and athleticism. At 6’6”, he is in better shape than the mostly always plump Fury. Having faced them both, Usyk makes his choice.

Usyk has a good gauge of how each of them fights. He stunned Fury several times in their 12-round billing. AJ has been keeping an eye on both. He even officially scored the play-by-play for their second classic. Part of this choice, for others too, is that the Brit is sporting abnormally large timber in the midsection.
“The Cat” had to constantly snipe in acute shots between his up/down feints and make it a hard day’s work. The way out-of-shape Fury is, his trunks were bagging his midsection. It’d have been a whole other course if he fought under stateside sanctions. However, Usyk did do the job. Prone to more classic boxing, he believes AJ should do the same. At 281 and around, Fury is not in the best of shapes; Joshua is. Hence, it’s an easy decision for Usyk to make.
