Joey Logano’s title win was yet another nail in the coffin of his critics, who often try to discredit his triumphs branding him as silver spoon because of the affluent background he is from. Ex-Cup champion Tony Stewart once really hurt the No:22 driver with the same comment in the past, and after winning his third titles, matching with the legend, he took a brutal jibe at him.
Logano told the media that he joked with his dad that the silver spoon has got three championships like the ex-SHR co-owner. The championship win is more ironic considering the fact that, Stewart exited NASCAR as a team owner after the season finale, owning to the financial struggles with the Ford team.

While earlier talking about the championship win, Joey Logano pointed out that he feels pride about winning the title for Roger Penske and it being a tough season makes it extra sweet. He admitted that he had to survive a lot of issues to produce a successful season.
The No:22 Ford team produced a solid performance when it mattered the most and earned the championship, alongside a place in the history books. It will be interesting to see how many more times they can do the same in the future.
