After Mike Tyson fight, WWE reportedly interested in bringing in Jake Paul for PLE appearance in 2025

A week ago, Jake Paul trounced legendary boxer Mike Tyson in a boxing fight. Despite the polarizing reviews, the Paul-Tyson clash made history, garnering 60 million concurrent viewers on Netflix. Well, it seems that WWE might’ve been impressed by these numbers. The Stamford-based promotion is reportedly planning on bringing in The Problem Child next year.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE has “notable” interest in the idea of Paul appearing on a PLE. So far, only indirect talks have taken place between both parties, with no concrete plans made yet. However, with his brother, Logan Paul, signed to the wrestling giant, it might not take long for both sides to officially negotiate. After all, Jake has previously appeared on WWE programming.

At Crown Jewel 2022, the 27-year-old accompanied Logan in his world championship match against Roman Reigns. Jake arrived to even the odds when The Usos interfered during the bout. Moreover, he laid the twin brothers out with brutal knockout punches. Despite that, Logan failed to dethrone The Tribal Chief, as the latter emerged victorious following an enthralling battle.

Recently, Jake Paul expressed his desire to be Logan’s sidekick in WWE. The YouTuber-turned-boxer claimed he would play a manager-type role, similar to Paul Heyman. While the company is seemingly interested in bringing him in, the majority of the wrestling fanbase vetoed the idea.

Many fans still view the Paul brothers in a negative light due to their controversies outside the squared circle. The Maverick is currently on hiatus from WWE owing to paternity leave. In his last appearance, Logan lost the US Title to LA Knight at SummerSlam after reigning as champion for over 250 days.

Throughout its history, WWE has never shied away from bringing in celebrities and sports personalities to garner mainstream media attention. The wrestling giant has capitalized on several opportunities, attracting outside eyes to their product. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that they’re willing to book a segment involving Mike Tyson and Logan Paul.

Following their heated back-and-forth exchange at the Tyson-Paul fight, WrestleVotes reported that there was backstage interest in a segment between the pair at WrestleMania 41. Similar to Jake Paul, Tyson has also appeared on WWE programming before.

At WrestleMania 14, Iron Mike served as the special guest enforcer for the main event match between Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin. Tyson counted the final pin, raised Austin’s hand, and handed him the WWE Title. Needless to say, only time will tell if WWE manages to entice the legendary boxer into appearing at next year’s event.
