Josh Waring, son of former Real Housewives of Orange County star Lauri Peterson, tragically passed away on March 31. Now, his cause of death has been revealed. Lauri took to social media following the news of her son’s death to say her heart was “shattered” when her son died at 35 years old.

RHOC alum Lauri Peterson’s son, Josh Waring’s cause of death has been ruled “accidental,” reports TMZ.
Five months on from Josh’s passing, the outlet learned of how he died via California’s Orange County Sheriff-Coroner Department.
TMZ reports Josh: “..died from the combined effects of fentanyl, methamphetamine and olanzapine…”
RHOC star’s son battled addiction
When Josh passed away, Lauri paid tribute to him on social media.
The former RHOC star detailed how he “fought almost every day of his adult life.”
She mentioned “substance abuse disorder” in her post and thanked “all of the people that have tried to help Josh along the way.”
She added: “I am witness to many Angels on earth. Not everyone understands those suffering from substance abuse disorder.”
On Mother’s Day, around six weeks on from Josh’s death, Lauri took to Instagram again.
She wrote of having a “gaping hole in her heart” and detailed how tough the day was for her: “Today is going to be a challenging day for me. I wish so badly that things could have been different for Josh. I miss him…”
Lauri also responds to people’s comments on her post, writing of how the “hurt will always be raw,” when it comes to her son’s passing.
