FaZe Banks Reveals FaZe Clan Evicted From House After Prank War, Causing Chaos

On August 27, 2024, Richard “FaZe Banks,” one of the co-founders of FaZe Clan, took to X (formerly Twitter) to break some shocking news: FaZe Clan members had been evicted from their house due to a wild prank war that spiraled out of control. In a voice note shared with his X Community group, BANK$ INTERN$, Banks vented his frustrations, revealing that the eviction was now official and that he was struggling to keep it all together.

Banks started the voice note by saying, “Yeah, so we just officially got evicted from the crib. I fking told these kids, man!” His exasperation was clear as he explained how the homeowner had contacted Tav, a FaZe Clan manager, to deliver the bad news. Banks, already feeling overwhelmed, added, “Guys, I’m about to lose my fking mind! I was already overwhelmed and stressed before today, feeling like the f**king wheels are falling off.”

The Prank War That Went Too Far

The eviction came on the heels of an “insane” prank war within the FaZe house, which was documented in a brief 11-second video posted by the popular X account @DramaAlert. The video showcased the aftermath of the pranks, providing a glimpse into just how chaotic things had gotten within the household. What may have started as innocent fun quickly escalated, resulting in the breaking of the lease agreement and, ultimately, the members’ eviction.

Banks, clearly frustrated by the outcome, expressed his disbelief in the situation: “I love these kids, but what the f**k, Max?!” He was referring to Maxwell “Plaqueboymax,” one of the FaZe Clan members who was heavily involved in the pranks. Banks also hinted that the eviction wasn’t just due to one incident but rather the result of a series of actions that had put the team on thin ice with their landlord.

The Toll of Running FaZe Clan Without a Budget

In addition to the prank war, Banks shared how exhausted he was trying to manage the organization with limited resources. He explained that the challenges of running FaZe Clan, particularly without adequate funding, had left him drained: “I’m tired. I’m exhausted. We’re trying to run this st up with no fking budget, no f**king help.” Despite receiving support from various people, Banks described the situation as overwhelming and expressed his frustration with some of the team members’ behavior, particularly during such a critical time for the organization.

The eviction comes at a particularly bad time for FaZe Clan, as they had been gearing up for a major project—a September Subathon. This event was supposed to feature elaborate setups with cameras, different angles, and custom-designed rooms to enhance the streaming experience. Banks lamented that all their plans had now been disrupted: “We’re supposed to do build-outs and production all week to set up for this f**king September Subathon thing. And, it was all going to be started building out tomorrow.”

The eviction not only derails their immediate plans but also poses a significant financial setback for the organization. Banks revealed that FaZe Clan had paid a year’s lease upfront for the house, meaning they stand to lose a substantial amount of money due to the early termination of the lease. “This is a year lease that’s broken, that we paid up-front. So, I don’t know what the fk is good with that. But that might just be a couple of hundred bands down the f

king toilet!” Banks admitted.

FaZe Clan Issues Statement

FaZe Clan also posted an official update on their X account, acknowledging the loss of their house. While the organization has not yet provided further details, it’s clear that this unexpected setback has left them scrambling to adjust their plans.

As of now, it remains unclear how FaZe Clan will move forward with their September Subathon or whether they will find a new residence in time for the event. Regardless, this incident serves as a stark reminder that even the biggest names in esports aren’t immune to real-world consequences—especially when prank wars are involved.
