“Stop Washing My Car!”- Jide Awobona Expresses Frustration Over Forced Car Washes In Traffic

  • He expressed his frustration through a humorous Instagram post.
  • Awobona hinted at taking drastic actions if the unsolicited car washing persists.

Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has taken to Instagram to express his displeasure with street vendors who wash cars in traffic without the owner’s consent.

In a humorous yet direct post, Awobona shared his irritation, saying he might resort to drastic measures if the unsolicited car washing continues. Rather than forcing services on unsuspecting motorists, he advised that these vendors should focus on selling snacks or simply requesting assistance.

He wrote:

“Enough is enough. Get your camera ready in Lagos and Ibadan, I’m about to become a masquerade, I need a koboko or pankere plug.

“I can’t take this anymore, I don’t know how others feel but as for me, I can’t take you washing my car in traffic, no permission no nothing.

“Who told you I even wash my car with soap? Just beg for money or sell kulikuli. They may not see this but in case you see me flogging someone on the road, this has to be the reason.”

The post, while laced with humor, reflects a growing frustration among drivers over intrusive behavior from some street hawkers in major Nigerian cities.
