In a bombshell declaration, Tonya Granberry, DDG’s mother, is claiming that the singer-actress went full spy mode by secretly planting multiple Apple AirTags in DDG’s vehicles throughout their relationship.
According to Granberry’s court documents, the first tracker turned up in June 2023, hidden beneath the back seat of DDG’s Maybach. The discovery came shortly after a dramatic run-in at the movies where Halle allegedly showed up unannounced while DDG was there with a female friend.
Tonya says Halle was furious, called her son, threatening to “f–k him up,” and even tried to physically confront the woman. Tonya claims she had to step in to defuse the chaos. Suspicious of how Halle knew their location, the crew searched the car, and that’s when the first AirTag was reportedly found.
Granberry says her fiancé, who is also DDG’s driver, kept receiving AirTag tracking alerts. He searched DDG’s Escalade and allegedly discovered another tracker in the trunk. A third one, she says, was uncovered weeks later in the same SUV, hidden inside a vitamin bottle.
She also claims that in April 2024, following the birth of DDG and Halle’s son, Halo, Tonya claims she personally found a fourth AirTag, this one buried under the cardboard lining of a diaper bag. She says she took photos of every AirTag discovered and even alleges that Halle left an entire box of the trackers at DDG’s house after moving out following the birth of their child.
She’s reportedly prepared to testify in court and says the ongoing surveillance caused DDG serious emotional distress and raised serious concerns for his safety.
On social media, fans blamed Tonya Grandberry for her son’s behavior. They still don’t think her testimony is a good look for her son.
“So they don’t care that he was cheating on her while she was pregnant? She’s wrong for popping up on this man while he’s cheating on her? I’m not understanding why they coddle him like this,” one social media user commented.
“I think it’s crazy to file docs to try to make her seem crazy/ incompetent when those same docs allude to infidelity/ cheating. As if any human being wouldn’t have an emotional reaction to finding that out smh. Shouldnt be treating the mother of his child that way. Super cruel & [careless],” another remarked.
“So…Halle, who played in one of the worlds biggest remakes went to a public theater to fight someone, and NOBODY saw or recorded it?” another added.
