Pop Singer Jessie J Diagnosed With ‘Early’ Breast Cancer

British pop singer Jessie J has announced the sad news that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

“I want to share it with my fans and the people that care about me, and also I’m a sharer. I’ve always shared everything that I go through in my life. Before ‘No Secrets’ came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,” she said via Instagram.

“I’m highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word early,” she continued. “I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period.”

Jessie J says that she hasn’t had an opportunity to talk about it much because she’s been so busy, but that she’s pleased that after her surgery, she will “get to keep” her nipples.

Jessie J rose to fame in the early 2010s with her debut single “Do It Like a Dude,” and she quickly became a pop sensation. Her debut album, Who You Are, produced hits like “Price Tag” and “Nobody’s Perfect.” Throughout her career, she has demonstrated her versatility, with tracks spanning multiple genres and collaborations with major artists such as Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
