Early this year, Razaq Okoya’s sons, Subomi and Wahab, were invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over a viral video of them spraying Naira notes. The brothers, in a viral video, were seen spraying naira notes, while a police officer held stacks of the currency, a violation of Section 21(3) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007.

In better news, Chief Razaq Okoya had stirred the internet as he and his wife, Shade, joined a popular TikTok challenge. The power couple were seen changing outfits and location, looking all loved-up.

Shade Okoya made headlines after raining money on a young lad at an event. Rather than give him a thousand naira or two, Shade gave him a bundle of cash, which left the boy speechless. Reacting to it, netizens hailed her, crowning her the “Rich Aunty of Lagos”.

Last year, Shade had opened up about her relationship with Rasaq Okoya, as she expressed how much she loves, adores and respects her husband. She spoke highly of him and showered him with heartfelt prayers, calling him her backbone and speaking about how she would never do anything that would tarnish her husband’s name. She also spoke about their trust and how her generations, including her children, are forever grateful to him.
