Lil Durk Calls Out Alleged FBI Snitch as “Unreliable” in Murder-for-Hire Case

Lil Durk’s lawyers are putting the heat on prosecutors, accusing them of building their murder-for-hire case around an unreliable FBI informant.

According to Durk’s team, the so-called informant has been feeding false info to the feds, and they’re arguing that’s more than enough reason to get the rapper out of jail while he awaits trial.

“The government repeatedly cites allegations from a federal case out of Illinois where Mr. Banks has never been charged and never will be charged, despite the passage of over three years since the underlying incident,” Durkio’s attorney, Drew Findling, said in a statement.

“The government’s own exhibit reveals that the allegations pertaining to Mr. Banks are based primarily on information from a cooperating human source, ‘CHS 1,’ described in the affidavit as a paid FBI informant and former gang member with a criminal history.”

Drew Findling also argued that the government has yet to demonstrate that the rapper poses a flight risk or a threat to the public if granted bail. To secure his release, the Chicago native has proposed a $4.5 million bail package, including $3 million of his own money, and has offered to remain under house arrest under 24/7 private security supervision.

Durk is facing federal charges related to an alleged murder-for-hire plot tied to the 2022 killing of Lul Pab, the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo.

Prosecutors claim Durk organized the hit as revenge for the 2020 death of his associate King Von, arranging travel and rewards for the shooters.

He was arrested in Florida in October 2024 and charged with conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, among other offenses. If convicted, he could face life in prison. Durk has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail.

His trial is set for October 2025.
