As every Survivor fan will already know, there are many reasons to love Jeff Probst’s popular reality show. For example, it is glorious that after new fans figure out which seasons to watch first, they can learn facts like who was the first to be medically evacuated and which players refused to return. More importantly, Survivor’s most passionate fans love the fact that the show has had so many truly great seasons that starred iconic players and had some of the best winners.
One of Survivor’s most iconic players is Kelley Wentworth, who played the game three times. Kelley is now very outspoken about how she feels about things like Survivor 48 players being forced to gamble their vote and how she feels about Kamilla Karthigesu and Kyle Fraser. While talking about Survivor 48, Kelley recently revealed how the two Survivor 48 players made her ecstatic again.
The Legendary Player Kelley Wentworth Praised Kamilla Karthigesu And Kyle Fraser After Survivor 48’s Second-Last Episode
As Survivor 48 was airing, the season received a lot of criticism from the show’s most passionate fans. Not only did fans find Survivor 48 boring a lot of the time, Kelley Wentworth was also outspoken on social media about her problems with the season.
However, to Kelley’s great credit, she wasn’t dogmatic about her criticisms of the season. Instead, Kelley also spoke out about how much she loved Star Toomey ,and she praised two of Survivor 48’s other players.
After the second-last episode of Survivor 48 aired, Kelley posted a TikTok video reacting to a huge play that happened during the season. In that video, Kelley expressed admiration for the strategic move that Kamilla Karthigesu and Kyle Fraser made together during the episode.
The reason why many fans were so bored by Survivor 48 was that the season was completely dominated by a power alliance. As a result, most episodes were entirely predictable and boring.
After starting the game together as a part of the Civa tribe, Kamilla Karthigesu and Kyle Fraser’s secret alliance was incredibly successful. In the end, Kyle won Survivor 48 and Kamilla came in 4th place.
During the 12th episode of Survivor 48, Kamilla and Kyle hatched a truly impressive plan to switch the game up. As a part of the plan, Kyle and Kamilla used the fact that nobody knew they were in an alliance to trick the most powerful players in the game. To be more specific, Kyle and Kamilla tricked Joe Hunter and Eva Erickson into thinking that their ally Shauhin Davari had an idol and planned to turn on them.
Even though their plan was complicated and relied on Joe and Eva not knowing they were working together, Kyle and Kamilla succeeded. At the end of the 12th episode of Survivor 48, Joe and Eva joined Kyle and Kamilla in voting Shauhin out.

“Kyle and Kamilla did it. They actually did it. I will admit when I’m wrong, them waiting, them being patient, us having to slog through a couple of boring votes made for this moment. That trust that they built allowed them to make this move.”
After that, Kelley pointed out the importance of the moment when Eva spoke to Joe about trusting Kyle when they discussed whether to move against Shauhin. “Joe and Eva are sitting on the bench and Eva says, ‘I’m trusting my gut and my gut is telling me that I can trust Kyle.'”

As Kelley continued to talk about the move, she praised Kyle and Kamilla for convincing Joe that they were trying to protect him. Furthermore, Kelley praised Kyle and Kamilla’s plan for making Joe feel like he was the one who decided to move against Shauhin.
“They basically used their relationship and their trust with Joe to make sure that any information they gave him was going to be looked at as, ‘Hey, Joe. We are protecting you. We are protecting you and Eva. I’m coming to you with this information so that you know what’s going on.’ They know Joe well enough to know how he’s going to react. They also are making it feel like it’s Joe’s idea. “
Most importantly, Kelley explained at the end of her May 16th, 2025 video what her prediction was about how Survivor 48 was going to end. During the video that was posted days before the finale, Kelley correctly predicted that because of their move during the 12th episode, either Kyle or Kamilla would win the season.
“We are basically learning that he made the wrong decision whereas Kyle and Kamilla executed their plan. It worked out. So when we get to final tribal council, let’s just as an example say that Kyle’s there and Joe is there and Eva is there. Kyle has moves he can claim. He can say to the jury, ‘No no no no. It wasn’t Joe who wanted Shahin out. That was my move.’ And what does Joe have? ‘Oh, I was duped.’
You really think that’s gonna go over well with the jury? I don’t think so. I believe this move right here is telling us who will win and who will not win Survivor 48. This episode solidified that either Kyle or Kamilla wins the season. Joe is a losing finalist. That’s my final prediction. That’s how I think it’s gonna go down.”

In fairness to Kelley, it seemed like almost all of the show’s biggest fans were bored by Survivor 48. However, after Survivor 48 ended, Kelley’s perspective on the season changed. In fact, Kelley explained in her TikTok video why Kyle winning may made her feel better about Survivor 48.
“Yay, great ending. I will say now that I know Kyle wins the season, I think if I were to go back and watch it, I know. I can’t even believe I’m saying that I would do that. But I think if I were to go back and watch the season, I would feel that it was better than I originally thought because, obviously, now we know why Kyle kept his group together and he didn’t go after Joe because he thought that he could beat Joe, and in the end he did beat Joe.”
Ultimately, Kelley succinctly expressed how happy she was that Kyle won Survivor 48.
“So, yay! Kyle. Great winner for season 48. “
During the same video, Kelley praised Kamilla for advocating for Kyle during Survivor 48’s final tribal council. Kelley also wondered aloud how different things could have been if Kamilla made it to the final tribal council. “Let’s talk about miss sweet Kamilla. Stand on business for her number one ally. That’s how you do it. Kamilla girl, I still wanted you in the end. It would have been very interesting to see what happened because I don’t know if anybody watched the aftershow, but Star said that if Kamilla was there, Kamilla was swept the votes. So there’s always gonna be that what if.”
