Rapper and former reality star Gunplay has responded to his estranged wife’s claims that he once held an automatic rifle up to her and their infant daughter.
Gunplay visited K. Foxx on 99 Jamz Miami, where he was asked about Vonshae Taylor-Morales’ allegations.
“Who does that, bro? I was just at Fleming’s Steakhouse the night of, and like a couple hours later, I woke up and I was, like, in a cell with two bologna sandwiches and a jumper. I couldn’t understand what just happened,” he shared. “She just flipped the switch out of nowhere and, you know hindsight is 20/20 when I just look at [it]overall,” he explained.
While the rapper denies losing it and pulling out his weapon, he did cop to another mental health issue.
“I did my research, okay? and the things that she fell under were NPD, that’s narcissistic personality disorder, and it’s a real disorder that people don’t go get diagnosed for because they don’t feel that nothing’s wrong. They live in their own bubble, their own reality, they have their own delusions… that’s a protective shell around them,” he added.
NPD is marked by a pattern of inflated self-importance, a constant need for admiration, and a lack of empathy for others. People with NPD often believe they’re superior to those around them, struggle to handle criticism, and tend to exploit relationships for their own gain. Key traits include entitlement, a tendency to seek excessive admiration, and difficulty empathizing with others.
Gunplay was arrested in August 2023 on several charges, including aggravated battery, false imprisonment, and child abuse. Authorities accuse him of pointing an AK-47 at his wife and their six-month-old baby during a heated argument, though the rapper denies the allegations.
