Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, widely known as the renowned Nigerian disc jockey DJ Cuppy, has urged single women over the age of 30 not to despair.
Citing the book of Isaiah 54, verse 5 from the Bible, Cuppy emphasized that single women should first recognize that God is their “true husband.”
She mentioned that this verse has served as a significant source of motivation for her.
Cuppy reassured single women that God will not let them down and will provide their partners at the appropriate time.
In a video message posted on her Instagram account on Saturday, Cuppy stated, “I was thinking about it, how I’m probably not the only woman in this situation. I’m going to call it a season of solidarity, where actually a lot of my wins and my value is not necessarily with and from a partner.
“And I want to remind anyone that is in this position, especially those in their 30s like me. There is a Bible verse that really helps me and reminds me of my worth and the fact that the creator of all creations has my back. It is Isaiah 54 verse 5: ‘For your real husband is the one who created. The Lord of all the earth.’
“So, that reminds me that anyone I fantasise about — my perfect man, my perfect partner — he was created by the creator. That means that we shouldn’t put anyone where God should be. God is a presence, an existence that does not leave a gap. So if you feel like you are missing in your life, you are not. God fills gaps, and He will never desert you. While you are waiting, know that the right person will come at the right time. And just like I have learnt, what is for you will not pass you.”
