The Branch Missioner of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Agbowo, Ibadan, Oyo State, Imam Abdul-Fatai Yaaqub, has urged Muslims to live their lives in accordance with the teachings and exemplary character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

The appeal was made at the Eid prayer ground in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, shortly after the observance of the two rakats of Eid al-Adha (Eid Kabir) prayers.

Imam Yaaqub emphasised the need for Muslims to reflect on the significance of the Eid celebration, which symbolises sacrifice, obedience, and submission to the will of Allah.

He reminded the faithful that true devotion goes beyond ritual observance and must be reflected in daily conduct, relationships, and service to humanity.

Imam Yaaqub also encouraged Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith and continue to uphold Islamic values throughout the year, not just during religious festivities.

He noted that the society would continue to play its role in promoting peace, unity, and moral uprightness within the community.

The Eid celebration drew hundreds of worshippers who gathered to mark the occasion with prayers, reflections, and the traditional slaughtering of sacrificial animals.
