Popular Nigerian skit maker, Carter Efe, has called out streamer Peller, mocking him for previously lamenting the financial burden of supporting his mother.
Peller had gone viral last month after sharing his frustrations about being the breadwinner of his family, a statement that attracted widespread criticism online. Many felt his complaints were insensitive, especially coming from someone perceived to be doing well.
During a recent live stream, Carter Efe reignited the controversy by publicly mocking Peller and contrasting their approaches to family responsibilities. According to Carter, unlike Peller, he carries his roles as a son, brother, and father without complaints.
He expressed disbelief that Peller would grumble about sending money to his mother while lavishly spending on his girlfriend, Jarvis.
In his words:
“You know how much I don dey send my mama since I blow? You buy things for Jarvis but complain about sending your mum money. You’ve not even sent her up to 10 million. You buy Jarvis duvet, but you no wan buy your mama duvet…”
Carter’s comments have stirred mixed reactions online. While some applauded him for highlighting misplaced priorities, others felt the public dragging was unnecessary and could have been handled privately.
