However, after two seasons, most of these couples have broken up and separated. At the end of Season 2, only one couple remained together. This raises questions about the effectiveness of the therapists’ methods or the depth of the issues the couples face.

A new Reddit thread seems to suggest that 90 Day: The Last Resort may be on the lookout for new therapists following a pretty disappointing Season 2, in which only one couple decide to continue with their relationship. Fans were noticeably unhappy with the season’s outcome and appeared to place blame on the three therapists, criticizing them for not stepping up effectively to support the couples through their issues.
The Redditor posted what appeared to be a casting call for therapists for the 90 Day spinoff. The person who posted the notice shared that they received the casting call after having previously signed up for reality TV shows. “I’ve signed up for reality tv shows so I get casting and commercial notices. This is one for the last resort if you wonder where they find these people,” they shared. However, this is all alleged as of this writing.
The casting call reads in all caps:
“SEEKING INNOVATIVE THERAPISTS & COACHES WITH UNIQUE OUT OF-THE-BOX THERAPY METHODS!”
The notice then outlined a series of bullet points detailing the qualifications and criteria for those interested in the position.

The requirements for the position included having therapists and coaches with “diverse backgrounds and methodologies,” working in “unconventional therapeutic activities,” and an “emphasis on non-traditional methods.”
However, what wasn’t a requirement and what fans found extremely troubling was that there was no mention of having a professional license in therapy or a degree in these fields.
Fans React To The 90 Day: The Last Resort Alleged Casting Call For Therapists
On the same Reddit thread, many 90 Day fans pointed out that it was strange the casting call made no mention of therapists or coaches needing a legitimate license or degree to be eligible.
“Interesting that it doesn’t mention any kind of licensing requirement for being a therapist or coach… Why am I not surprised?” A person wrote.
“Professionally licensed therapists need not apply. Quack job TikTok “therapists” and “personal coaches” with zero credentials who are fans of the show? More than welcome!” Another person wrote on the thread.
“No mention of education or qualifications. Guess they’ll take self-proclaimed therapists. And clout seekers,” a comment read.

One Of The Three Therapists On Season 2 Was Not A Licensed Professional
Season 2 of 90 Day: The Last Resort featured several therapists, each a professional in a specialized field tailored to the needs of the struggling couples. However, fans quickly learned that Reba Corrine Thomas, the season’s “sex and intimacy coach,” was not a licensed professional.
According to an article from Screen Rant, Reba does not hold a professional therapy license. Her LinkedIn profile describes her instead as a “celebrity sexuality educator, entertainer, and entrepreneur.” This raises questions about her qualifications to guide couples facing serious, real-life relationship challenges.
Meanwhile, the show did include two licensed professionals for the second season. James Kelleher has been a licensed therapist for over 20 years and specializes in “relationship issues, stress, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, and depression,” per his website.
Additionally, fans met Dr. Petey Silveira, who specializes in past life regressions. Petey has a strong educational background in therapy, with her website stating that she has “been a marriage and family therapist in private practice in Longwood, Florida since 1986,” even providing her license number.
Unfortunately, despite their years-long experience and expertise, they were not able to help several of these 90 Day couples in Season 2.

Fans have also expressed that these therapists only “made themselves look bad” following all the fallout of these Season 2 couples. A Screen Rant article specifically criticizes Reba, who is not a licensed sex therapist, for her lack of accountability in handling Gino and Jasmine’s relationship.
Rather than helping the couple find common ground, Reba reportedly encouraged Jasmine to consider an open marriage, which Gino strongly opposed. During the Season 2 Tell All, when the therapists were asked about the couple’s situation—particularly Jasmine’s surprise announcement of a pregnancy with another man—Reba shared, “My professional and personal advice is they rushed into a situation none of them was really comfortable with.” This response struck many fans as contradictory, given that Reba had previously supported the idea of an open marriage in the first place.
There is no word if the casting call mentioned above is real. However, if the show is looking for new therapists and coaches, fans are hoping that they bring on professionals with real licenses and years of experience. After all, these same fans want to see more successful couples after weeks of therapy.
That said, the casting call’s mention of seeking coaches who use “non-traditional methods” and unique couple activities suggests the show may be prioritizing entertainment value over really helping these struggling couples.
