- Ubi Franklin, a music executive, has faced criticism on social media following a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, Davido, and Cubana Chief Priest.
- Franklin stated that he would repeatedly meet the President if given the chance.

Music executive and talent manager, Ubi Franklin, has responded to online backlash following his recent visit to President Bola Tinubu alongside singer Davido and nightlife promoter Cubana Chief Priest.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Franklin defended his decision, making it clear that he would not hesitate to meet the president again if given the opportunity.
“If I get the chance to meet the president again, I’ll go. In fact, I’ll go ten more times,” he wrote, comparing the experience to meeting a local government chairman — a chance he believes many critics would seize if offered.
A known supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Franklin expressed his disappointment with the personal attacks he has faced online, stating that he has been misunderstood, insulted, and lied about for years, and is no longer fazed by public criticism.
He also accused many of his critics of hypocrisy, claiming that those judging him harshly would likely do the same thing if given similar access or opportunities.
Franklin’s response has sparked further conversations on social media about celebrity involvement in politics and the double standards applied to public figures.
He said: “If anyone of you here get the opportunity to meet even your local Government chairman, I am sure you will be open to it, let alone A president. If I get another opportunity to meet Mr President I’ll do it again And again.
“If una like make una continue to Dey abuse me, I have been abused, misunderstood and lied against for too long and I no still send una.
I have never hidden that I am a full member of The APC, people criticize you for what they will do if they were In your shoes. Una go Dey alright, below is the Most Powerful collage of all time”.
