Tory Lanez’s legal team launched a new website called 36hourslater.com, where they uploaded never-before-seen video and audio from the night Megan Thee Stallion was shot back in 2020.
Alongside the footage, they released a detailed 35-page presentation that they claim exposes major flaws in the case that resulted in Tory receiving a 10-year prison sentence.
According to his lawyers, key evidence was ignored during the trial, and they’re now putting everything on front street for the world to see. The materials also contain testimony from the only independent eyewitness, who allegedly told authorities they saw “the girls fighting” and were adamant that “a girl” fired the weapon and not a man.
Lanez’s attorneys say this fresh dump of surveillance footage, recorded statements, and expert commentary directly contradicts the prosecution’s narrative.
Lanez’s team is asking California Governor Gavin Newsom to pardon the rapper as they say Megan’s former best friend, Kelsey Harris, was the shooter that night and not Lanez.
“Tory Lanez is the victim. He never provoked this incident in prison and anybody that knows him. in fact, I have met many people who went there to visit him, my wife and I, that will tell you that he is someone who is liked. He is not someone who is a troublemaker,” Lanez’s father, Sonstar Peterson, said at the time.
