President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock Abuja.
The governor visited the president at the Villa at about 3.45 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
This particular visit by Oborevwori comes barely one week after the governor defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Politics Nigeria gathered that upon his arrival at the State House, the governor went into a closed-door meeting with the president.
This is Oborevwori’s first official meeting since defecting from the PDP to the APC on April 23.
Oborevwori defected to the APC alongside key members and leaders of the PDP in Delta State including his predecessor, Ifeanyi Okowa who served as a running mate to Atiku Abubakar in the 2024 presidential election.
