Former president of the Senate of Nigeria, Bukola Saraki, has congratulated Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo on his AMVCA win.
Kemi Filani reported that the talented actor and filmmaker had won the Best Lead Actor award and another award at the just-concluded Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards on Saturday, May 10th.


Reacting to the news, Bukola expressed how proud he was of Femi Adebayo. He noted how his win is a big win for the people of Kwara State. He stated that Femi’s award is a reminder of what’s possible when talent meets opportunity.
He prayed that his achievement would open greater stages and inspire a new generation of young Kwarans to dream big, work hard, and tell their own stories to the country.

Since Femi’s release of his first movie, Jagun Jagun on Netflix, he has undoubtedly made a mark for himself in the world of Filmmaking. The movie shattered records on Netflix, as it went global on the streaming app with 2.1 million views, and was ranked 5th in Non-English Charts.
In October, Adebayo was quite elated as his 2023 movie, Jagun Jagun bagged 7 nominations at the 2024 AMAA.
In November, he won big at the Best of Nollywood awards where he bagged 4 awards for his 2023 movie, Jagun Jagun. He won the Best Actor award, Best Use of Costume, Best Art Design, and Best Use of Effect, which he dedicated to the people of Kwara state.
A week later, he won another award at Odunlade Adekola Film Production Award ceremony.
