JUST IN: NLC makes fresh demands from FG as workers celebrate May Day

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has demanded a review of the retirement age for all civil servants across the country.

Joe Ajaero, the National President of the NLC made the demand while speaking during the May Day celebration at the Eagle Square in Abuja on Thursday, May 1.

Ajaero said it would be important for the Federal Government to extend the retirement age for civil servants to 65 years or 40 years.

He said, “It is imperative to extend the revised retirement age of 65 years or 40 years of service currently enjoyed by teachers, health professionals, and judges to all public servants.”
