Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has publicly acknowledged and appreciated her longtime friend and colleague, Kudi Alagbo, for playing a vital role in the upbringing of her daughter, Priscilla Ojo.
The heartfelt tribute came during the final leg of Priscilla’s elaborate wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The event marks the culmination of several ceremonies held across both Nigeria and Tanzania.
Taking to social media, Iyabo Ojo reflected on her early days as a single mother and struggling actress, moving from one movie location to another in search of roles and income to support her family. During those challenging times, she said, Kudi stepped in and became a strong maternal figure for her daughter.
“This is part of the people that raised Priscilla, this is Mummy Priscilla.
Thank you, so much. For those times, I hunt for jobs, when I go to locations
You will stay at home to stand in gap for me,” she said.
She added that Kudi Alagbo taught Priscilla essential life skills, including how to cook, and helped shape her into the responsible young woman she is today.
“You will feed and care for her and Festus.
You do give them all the necessary training, including beating them once in a while.
This is the real Mama Priscilla, she was the one that taught Priscilla how to cook.
She was the one that bathed her, fed her, and took her to school.
Thank you, so much,”
The touching tribute sparked emotional reactions online, as fans praised the bond between the two women and the values of loyalty, support, and gratitude that Iyabo demonstrated.
