I'm Now Living As IDP With My Family In Gusau – Zamfara Man Laments One Year After Bandits Abducted Three Of His Children

Sha’aban Magaji, a Nigerian man, has disclosed that he and his family were forced to flee their home due to bandit attacks and now live as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State.

Magaji disclosed this in a Facebook post on Saturday, May 3, 2025 when he marked one year since bandits invaded his residence in Kotorkoshi community, Bungudu Local Government Area of the state and kidnapped three of his children as well as the security guard.

Magaji said he paid ransom for the release of his children and they have since then been living as IDPs in Gusau.



“Today mark one year since when armed bandits attacked & kidnapped three of my children. Alhamdulillah all d children are released after I paid ransom & am now living as an internally displaced person with my family in Gusau,”
he lamented.
