“I know you don’t like this” – Kamo State speaks on how Funke Akindele singly sponsors his child’s naming

Content creator and actor Akinoola Ayoola, popularly known as Kamo State, has shared how box office record breaker Funke Akindele single-handedly sponsored his daughter’s christening ceremony.

Kemi Filani reported that Kamo State and his wife, Esther Mide, christened their daughter Sonia Olufunke Ayoola to honour Funke Akindele’s impact.

The couple hosted Funke Akindele, content creators and other A-list actors at their home yesterday. The colourful event was preceded by a private christening in their sitting room.

Thanking his friends for attending his event, Kamo State said he was honoured to have them in his corner.

“Big gratitude to my friends that came to celebrate with my family yesterday, feel so honored to have y’all in my corner,God bless you all.”

The proud father remembered how Funke Akindele took over the financial responsibility of the ceremony and how she refused to allow him to spend a dime from his pocket.

Kamo State noted that the mother of two boys did not support his ways of showing appreciation because she believes all acknowledgement should be to God.

He poured out his heart to God, praying that Akindele would be blessed in all areas.

“Iyami Iyami @funkejenifaakindele i honestly know you don’t like people praising you openly or closely for whatever support you give you’ll always tell us to thank God instead but i can’t just thank you enough….for this party i no pay 1 naira, total sponsorship go far oooo, this is millions of naira just to support one boy from no where, my God will keep blessing you and you’ll never know a better yesterday idan miiiiiiiii, you know i don’t joke with you and it’s a for life thing mama.” Kamo State wrote on Instagram.

Recall that Kamo stirred the internet a few days ago with his heartfelt appreciation epistle, which acknowledges Funke Akindele’s spiritual, emotional, and financial contribution to his wife’s pregnancy and delivery.

The proud father narrated how the mother of two tried to help his wife give birth to their baby in the United States of America, got them the best medical facility in Nigeria, and gave his wife her driver and full security. He spoke about how she called daily to ensure his wife’s well-being.
