Below Deck Season 12 Brings Back Captain Kerry And A Fan-Favorite Chief Stew, Here’s What to Expect

Bravo’s Below Deck is back! Bravo released the new trailer this April, showing which cast members are back from Season 11 and a whole new set of issues and perks.

Similar to Season 11, Captain Kerry Titheradge is back leading the crew around the beautiful island of Saint Martin as opposed to Grenada. As always, viewers will see high-profile and high-maintenance guests as the crew do their best to fulfill demands while dealing with their own set of issues below deck.

According to Bravo, it’s one of the more tense seasons in the franchise with high standards, love triangles, and intense working conditions.

Everything We Know About Below Deck’s Season 12

On Apr. 22, 2025, Bravo released the Season 12 trailer for Below Deck, proving that the reality TV series has only gotten messier. The trailer kicks off with a voiceover from Maritime Police, alerting fans that something serious has occurred this season for the police to be called. Captain Kerry Titheradge is quickly shown telling guests that he’s the head guy in charge and that he doesn’t “f**k around.”

“There’s one authority on this boat, and it’s me. I’m not f***ing around.”

The cast and crew will be on the yacht St. David while chartering around the Caribbean’s Saint Martin. According to Bravo, the cast will hop to different islands like Anguilla and Saint Barths. Bravo shared that Captain Kerry and the crew “navigate tense work dynamics and tangled love triangles on the high seas.”

Will the women of Salt Lake City have explosive moments when they set sail on Below Deck Down Under Season 4?

The Season 12 Crew Members

Fraser Olender is back as Chief Stew and has high standards for the team, but according to Bravo, the interior crew has a hard time meeting those standards. Those standards are obvious when Captain Kerry is seen firing someone off-camera. “The expectations of the job on this boat, you’re not there yet,” he says to the cast member. “So, I’m going to let you go, mate.”

One of the most dramatic moments in the Season 12 trailer was the number of hookups shown among the cast, especially a scandalous one between deckhand Kyle Stilles and a guest. The two can be seen getting close on a dark beach, with Captain Kerry telling Kyle, “The crew think you banged a charter guest.”

Below Deck: The Shocking Reasons These Crew Members Were Fired

The Below Deck franchise has seen several crew members come and go for not keeping up to yacht standards.

It’s a known rule that crew members are not supposed to fraternize with guests as it’s unprofessional and dangerous if something goes awry. However, it wouldn’t be the first time a crew member had tried to hook up or give their number to a charter guest.

A new season brings new challenges, and Bravo fans are ready for the drama.

Below Deck’s Season 11 Was A Dramatic One

While Season 12 of Below Deck looks suspenseful, it’s picking up where Season 11 left off. Season 11 also saw Captain Kerry Titheradge in charge, Fraser Olender as Chief Stew, and Kyle Stillie as deckhand.

The season had plenty of conflicts, including the chef’s food not being up to standard, demanding guests, a “boatmance,” and two firings.

ScreenRant reported that Chef Anthony Iracane was fired for not being able to handle the pressure of working on a yacht of that caliber. Guests complained in the middle of the season, and it became clear that Chef Anthony couldn’t handle superyacht expectations anymore.

Below Deck Down Under S11, Episode 12: Tensions Grow Between Heads Of Departments Yet Again

The tension between the crew on Below Deck Down Under reached a fever pitch as members confronted each other.

Jared Woodin was also fired in Season 11 after having a hard time mentally and given warnings by Captain Kerry. Kerry told Entertainment Weekly, “I can see [Jared] struggling. And I’ve got reports that he was drinking that night and I told him to stop the piss. You’re going through a lot of sh*t right now, mate. And there were more conversations than what we can show. We don’t have enough time [on the charter].”

Chief Stew Fraser Olender may be returning for Season 12 but had a bumpy Season 11 after many viewed his leadership as controversial, especially how he handled Barbie Pascual. While Barbie wasn’t the easiest stew to work with, Fraser was seen as demeaning. With him coming back for a new season, it will be interesting to see if he has learned anything from his previous time on Below Deck.

Boatmances

Season 11 had a few romances, but as expected, both blew up in flames. It’s rare for Below Deck boatmances to last. Sunny Marquis and Ben Willoughby had an on-again, off-again relationship that ended when the charter was over. Likewise, Kyle Stille and Barbie started a romance late in the season but ended abruptly after Kyle had too many drinks.

The season ended with Captain Kerry arguing with Ben and Kyle over their messy rooms, which went against Kerry’s set of rules, Barbie and Xandi Olivier butted heads over scheduling conflicts, and Kyle and Barbie ended in flames after a messy night out. On a lighter note, Sunny became the lead deckhand, rounding out her storyline.

Dramatic, educational, and tense, Below Deck continues to have it all in a reality TV franchise.

Below Deck Season 12 premieres on Bravo on Monday, June 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT
