Below Deck Down Under Season 3: Captain Jason Steps In After Tzarina And Lara Come To Blows

Reality television has been serving up drama for a long time. Unsurprisingly, this is a component of these shows viewers expect. Sometimes this drama is sensationalized and blown out of proportion in order to gain ratings. But when the drama is real, it can have an even greater impact on the viewers watching.

Drama has been unfolding between crew members every week on Season 3’s Below Deck Down Under. Head chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph, chief stewardess Lara Rigby and sous chef Alesia Harris have been fighting a lot this season. In a recent episode, Tzarina scolds Lara for being late. However, she soon reveals that she lied about this in order to upset Lara.

A Circus-Themed Dinner Is A Success, Despite Major Drama Behind-The-Scenes

It wouldn’t be Below Deck Down Under without some drama, and that’s exactly what viewers were treated to in Season 3, Episode 14, aptly titled, “The Circus.” A circus-themed dinner service was threatened due to bad weather. This sent the yachties running around the deck trying to save whatever they were able to. The drama coming from the interior department was also dialed up. That is a mess Captain Jason is still trying to clean up. However, based on the events which took place in this episode, it looks like these problems will never be solved.

The crew earned one of their best tips ever thanks to their success in throwing a very funny circus-themed event. Things are still peaceful between Tzarina and Alesia, which keeps the positive vibes coming. However, Lara isn’t buying it. Tzarina is so tired of Lara that she decides to drag Captain Jason back into their argument. This causes Lara to go silent, and she leaves, leading Captain Jason to follow her into her cabin for a pep talk. However, it doesn’t seem like Lara’s mood is allowing her to listen.

Once the weather starts to dampen the mood of the party, the yachties have a hard time bringing the dinner inside. When the task is finally complete, the entire team (even Captain Jason) is dressed to match the theme of the event. Despite the drama, Tzarina is very happy to be cooking up this meal. But the drama starts up again once she rounds up her costars for pictures. As she’s snapping the pictures, her insecurities begin to get the best of her. Still, the guests all love the meal and have a great time.

Even though the night was a success, Tzarina wasn’t very happy with Lara. While Nic and the crew perform impressive tricks for the guests, Lara doesn’t hear the many radio calls Tzarina sends her. This leads to the timing being thrown off in the galley. Bri decides to help, but she mistakenly tells Tzarina she has five to seven minutes to get her next course ready. Lara and Bri return to the galley after only one and a half minutes, however, and Tzarina tells them it’s okay to wait since their communication has failed.

Captain Jason allows Marina to remain on service dial. Meanwhile, Bri is becoming tired of housekeeping due to being pulled in every direction. Alesia can also be added to the list of workers who are struggling. While it’s her responsibility to clean the crew mess every day, doing so would mean giving up her only break in the day.

Below Deck Season 12 Brings Back Captain Kerry And A Fan-Favorite Chief Stew, Here’s What to Expect

Here’s everything you need to know about Below Deck’s 12th Season now that Bravo released its sneak peek trailer.

Tzarina decides to go to bed while Alesia stays in the galley to clean up. Lara arrives and Alesia tells her that she is unable to clean the crew mess. Lara might show understanding for Alesia, but she is far from pleased. Bri is feeling overwhelmed downstairs, and begins to cry when telling Tzarina that she feels exhausted with all her duties. Tzarina decides to comfort Bri and Lara talks to her afterward. Bri begins to feel better and tells everyone that she is moving beyond her feelings.

Tzarina Deliberately Lies To Lara About Being Late In Order To Upset Her

Tzarina and Alesia seem happy in the galley as they prepare the final breakfast for the guests. When Lara comes in, she asks Alesia if she cleaned up the crew’s mess that morning. Tzarina then explains to Lara that if Alesia cleans up, she will not be able to take a break. Lara decides to push back, but Tzarina doesn’t back down and tells Lara that someone in her department is more than up to the task.

None of this helps Lara, who is now demanding that Tzarina follow her orders. Tzarina doesn’t listen and informs Lara that she will talk to Captain Jason about this. Tzarina instead offers some comfort to Alesia, and lets her know that she is good.

It is now time for breakfast service, and Lara tells Bri that Tzarina is getting on her nerves when she calls for help. Lara tells Tzarina that she cannot serve one of the dishes since it’s very hot. She also says the guests might burn themselves. Tzarina tells Lara that the guests will not touch the bowls if they’re hot. She says they only need to touch the food, and asks Lara to calm down.

“F****** bitch,” Tzarina says. “Now you’re being a d***head,” Lara shoots back. Tzarina yells at Lara, and says that everything is her fault, since she was the one to arrive late for work that morning. Lara looks shocked and tells Tzarina that she has “no right to say that.” Meanwhile, Captain Jason overhears the entire exchange.

When Lara leaves, Tzarina giggles and tells Alesia that Lara was not that late. According to Tzarina, she only said that to “wind her up.” Lara then tells Bri what Tzarina just said. Bri is shocked and the two find Captain Jason. When the two ask to speak with him, Lara says, “Bring it on.”

When she meets her boss on the bridge, Tzarina says that she needs advice because Lara will not listen to her. Meanwhile, Lara tells Bri that Tzarina was fired on their last boat. In a confessional interview, Lara also says that their skipper didn’t care for her food and negative attitude. According to Lara, this is what led to Tzarina being let go.

Tzarina’s version of the story is very different in her confessional. She claimed that Lara would poach her assistant chef for duties. This led to their working relationship getting so bad that Tzarina made the decision to leave. The episode then cuts back to Lara’s confessional, where she suggests that Tzarina will probably try to spin her exit in the exact way she did.
