'Battle Camp' Season 1 Crowns Its First Victor

Reality television is known for having a lot of competition shows under its belt. There are singing competitions like American Idol and very physical competitions like Survivor. These shows have made a huge impact on audiences and the show Battle Camp has already hooked viewers. They’ve done this by bringing together cast members of other reality shows.

Gabi Butler first became famous in the reality genre after her time on Cheer. Her experience on Netflix’s Battle Camp, however, was unexpectedly short-lived, and her exit was surprising to viewers. However, the game kept going and the winner of the series was none other than a former contestant of the series Squid Game: The Challenge.

Lorenzo Nobilio Won The First Season Of Battle Camp

In the 10th and final episode of Battle Camp‘s first season, the final six contestants were brought together. Quori Tyler, Chase DeMoor, Lorenzo Nobilio, Shubham Goel, Polly Brindle, and Georgia Hassarati all saw the rules take a rather interesting twist. Instead of the losers being punished, the winners’ names are now on the wheel instead. The first challenge they competed in was an ice bath, with each contestant seeing who could hold their breath the longest. Lorenzo, Chase, and Georgia came out as the top three performers, and each earned a spot on the wheel.

The next round of punishments got more intense. A place on the wheel was earned based on who logged the most steps. What made things even more intense were the grueling endurance tests. Contestants had been hanging from support poles, but those were removed for one challenge. This forced them to use only their grip strength. Polly had to sit this out due to a hand injury. Only two of the remaining four participants made it onto the wheel as a result. After all these challenges, it was now time to vote.

Shubham and QT unsurprisingly voted for each other, since they both came from The Circle. Georgia and Lorenzo voted for each other as well, since they had grown close throughout the season. Chase and Polly were the last to join the group, and as a result, they seemed to have fewer alliances. This resulted in most of their potential connections already being eliminated. Polly still encouraged Chase to vote for her, which he did. This ended up evening the playing field for all the contestants. In the end, when the wheel spun one last time, Lorenzo was crowned as the winner.

After winning, Lorenzo said he was surprised, but very happy. “I’m feeling so happy,” he told viewers in a confessional. “I can’t believe it landed on me. Someone pinch me right now. I manifested the wheel going on my name, but I didn’t think that it was gonna actually happen to me. Manifestations do work, I guess.”

Georgia said in her own separate confessional that she was “so happy” to see him win. “Lorenzo has been my day one bestie,” she said. “I don’t even care that I didn’t win, because, in my eyes, no one deserved it more.” She previously told People she was excited for Lorenzo in April 2025, saying, “It could have only gone the way it went.”

Lorenzo looked back on his win during an April 2025 conversation with Tudum once production wrapped. He revealed that he felt strongly that he would win all along.

“I really believe in energies, so I was trying to channel them for the wheel to land on my name. I still to this day cannot believe it did. I manifested, and believed I was going to win, and it paid off, didn’t it?” he said. “Maybe I was delusional. I don’t even care … As Justin Bieber once said, ‘Believe.’”

There Was A Shocking Elimination Early On In Battle Camp

Gabi Butler was eliminated very early in Battle Camp, much to the shock of viewers, but she doesn’t regret it. She was considered one of the frontrunners on the new reality competition show, but episode four saw her leaving unexpectedly. Despite her name only showing up on the wheel once, it unfortunately landed on her and sent her packing.

“I think everybody was shocked,” Gabi told People after saying goodbye. “It’s weird though, because I had this very weird intuition that somehow it was going to land on me. I don’t know how, I just had this weird feeling.”

Gabi’s team, the Wolves, didn’t win the daily group challenge prior to the elimination ceremony. This caused her and all the team members to show up on the wheel. Gabi was one of three people from her team chosen to compete in the punishment. Gabi did win the challenge, and this helped keep her name from being added to the wheel past that. And while she didn’t receive any votes from her fellow co-stars, it still resulted in a loss.

“Looking back on it, I think the way that I went out was on a win off of a punishment,” Gabi said. “I was upset. I am not going to lie. I was a little bit bummed — well, a lot bummed. I was like, ‘Dang, I really thought I could go way longer.’ I expected to go way longer. But obviously the spin was just a really, really unlucky spin.'”

Despite having to go home, Gabi said she was still pleased with how she handled everything. “I did everything that I could have done — well, in my control, I did everything I could have done,” she remembered. “I had an amazing team. I met a lot of amazing people within the time that I was there. It was just no better way to go out. I won a punishment. I didn’t have votes. So I’m like, if there was a way, then I’m okay with that.”

Gabi Revealed The Lesson She Learned While Competing In Battle Camp

Gabi opened up to Tudum after her elimination and responded to those who wanted to know if she was still cheering. “I’m back at home in Florida,” she said. “In the summers, I’m teaching, so I’m not committed to a team right now. I can still technically do everything that I was able to do before, but I’m getting more into the coaching realm of things. I still do consider myself an athlete, but now I’m 27, so I’m branching out into coaching. It is such a passion of mine. I like to help other people to become better at how to cheer.”

This has been on the minds of reality fans, since Gabi is best known for being on Cheer. Gabi has said that she looks back at the experience of being on the show in a positive light. “My experience at Navarro was honestly life-changing,” she revealed. “There are a lot of really special memories that I had on that team. Even without the show, it holds a special place in my heart. Every time I go to Corsicana, Texas, it’s like a second home for me. It just has so many good memories.”

Gabi said that her desire to join a series like Battle Camp came from the fact that she’s a very competitive person. “I think what drew me in is just the fact that it was a competition show,” Gabi explained. “I’m a very competitive person at heart. I was born to be a competitor. Because I am an athlete, I felt like it was right up my alley, and I was really looking forward to it. I was confident I was going to go a long way.”

Still, Gabi said she never liked the concept of the wheel and was worried it would affect her being in the competition. “As soon as I saw it, I was like, ‘Dang.’ It just put a damper on my plans,” she said. “From the moment I came in contact with this thing, I didn’t like it. But I think that everything happens for a reason, so I had to look at it like that.”

Gabi still decided to hold onto as much self-confidence as she could, despite her concerns. She said this was a skill she used to succeed. “When it came to the physical challenges, I was very confident in myself,” she said. “I trusted myself. That’s why when the [Full Throttle] punishment came around, I told Avori, ‘Put me in.’ I wanted her to do it. I would’ve taken the guys. I was confident that I was probably one of the strongest there. There were a lot of really, really athletic people, but I was pretty confident when it came down to trusting myself. I know what I can handle.”

While Gabi’s time on the show might have been short-lived, she was part of the cast long enough to have disliked one major part of the experience.

“The hardest thing for me was having to vote for somebody every night,” Gabi admitted. “I hated that so much.”

It looks like a sense of humor has been Gabi’s secret weapon in handling her loss. She revealed the biggest lesson she learned at Battle Camp, saying, “The biggest thing I learned was wheels are absolutely trash [laughs]. You just never know what’s going to happen, so don’t always think that you’ve got something in the bag.”
