Ayinla Kollington Declares Himself The King Of Fuji, Rejects Rival Claims

  • Ayinla Kollington claims to be the undisputed king of fuji music, asserting there are no rivals.
  • He made this declaration during an interview on Agbaletu TV.
  • Kollington addressed his absence from the funeral of Wasiu Ayinde’s mother, stating he attempted to reach out to K1 but received no response.

Ayinla Kollington, the renowned fuji musician, has confidently declared himself the undisputed king of fuji music, with no rival in sight.

Kollington made this assertion during an interview on Agbaletu TV. In the discussion, he also explained why he did not attend or contribute to the funeral of the mother of fellow fuji star, Wasiu Ayinde, aka K1 de Ultimate. According to Kollington, he made several attempts to reach K1 but was met with silence. “I called him several times, he didn’t pick up and didn’t return the call. I also remembered that when it was New Year’s Day, I called him but he didn’t respond. So, I left him alone,” he explained.

Kollington also addressed K1’s title as “head of the princes,” stating that it pertains only to K1’s hometown in Ijebuland and has no bearing on the fuji music industry. “If it is because he is the head of the princes, it is in his hometown in Ijebuland, not in the Fuji industry. Even if he says he wants to be the head of the fuji industry, there is a song (he sang it), does he want to be God? You became the head of the princes and still want to be the head of the Fuji industry. Why not kill me then, when it isn’t pap that we eat? It isn’t possible, even if he attempts. I, as a person, Alhaji General Kollinton Ayinla, expect death from God come. If the one that I survived from didn’t claim my life, no one can kill me again except death from God comes, like the one that almost did.”

In the video, Kollington reiterated his position on fuji music, stating that when people ask who is the leader of fuji music, whether in Nigeria or abroad, his name is the one that will always be mentioned. “When they ask, who is the head of Fuji Music, both here and abroad, it is my name that will be mentioned,” he said.

He further emphasized his leadership role, declaring himself the number one authority in fuji music worldwide. “By the grace of God, K1 has got the network, and he has risen. He is blessed. That doesn’t mean that tomorrow, he would begin to talk about ‘number one, or number two’. I am the authority of fuji music in Nigeria and abroad.”

This follows a recent video posted on Dele Adeyanju’s YoTube channel, where K1 shared his own journey into fuji music. In that video, K1 mentioned how he and Sikiru were the ones who started fuji music, despite its existence before he began his career. He also acknowledged the challenges he faced while pursuing his musical dreams.

As the two fuji legends continue to assert their positions in the industry, the rivalry between Kollington and K1 remains a key topic of conversation in the fuji music world.
